The left once again is showing their double standards. Libs loved anyone in the military who pubicily criticised with Pres Bush

Now they are demanding McChrystal be fired

Anyone surprised?

I am listening to the Dems and their supporters in the liberal media savage Gen McChrystal, yet they were not upset over this General who pubicly opposed his CIC

I doubt if the NY Times will give such coverage to McChrystal's criticisim

Rumsfeld's Design for War Criticized on the Battlefield

VCORPS HEADQUARTERS, near the Kuwait-Iraq border, March 31 — Long-simmering tensions between Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and Army commanders have erupted in a series of complaints from officers on the Iraqi battlefield that the Pentagon has not sent enough troops to wage the war as they want to fight it.

Here today, raw nerves were obvious as officers compared Mr. Rumsfeld to Robert S. McNamara, an architect of the Vietnam War who failed to grasp the political and military realities of Vietnam.

One colonel, who spoke on the condition that his name be withheld, was among the officers criticizing decisions to limit initial deployments of troops to the region. "He wanted to fight this war on the cheap," the colonel said. "He got what he wanted."

The angry remarks from the battlefield opened with comments made last Thursday — and widely publicized Friday — by Lt. Gen. William S. Wallace, the V Corps commander, who said the military faced the likelihood of a longer war than many strategists had anticipated.

The comments echo the tension in the bumpy relationship between Mr. Rumsfeld and Gen. Eric K. Shinseki, the Army chief of staff.

Underlying the strains between Mr. Rumsfeld and the Army, which began at the beginning of Mr. Rumsfeld's tenure, are questions that challenge not only the Rumsfeld design for this war but also his broader approach to transforming the military.

The first is why, in an era when American military dominance comes in both the quality of its technology and of its troops, the defense secretary prefers emphasizing long-range precision weapons to putting boots on the ground.

Gen. McChrystal is done. Whether he SHOULD be fired or not is open to debate but Obama almost HAS to fire him. Unfortunate. As for the libs and Dems ... it just doesn't matter. They will always be hypocritical on every issue. They simply cannot change their mode of operation becuase their lack of principles, honesty and honor won't let them.

Yes Obama wastes no time cracking down on Gen McChrystal

Meanwhile he rolls over to Iran, North Korea, PLO, and other terrorist states. he will sit down and talk to them. He will reason with them

But you dare to speak out against the Chosen One..................

Libs like Matthews are not intersted in the war in Afghanistan

They are more worried about winning their war against the Tea Party and those who oppose Obama

Sgt Schultz blames Pres Bush for McChrystal even thought Obama appointed him

Libs then wonder why they are trusted, and are not taken seriously.

If you really want to consider yourself objective, you need to recognize the fact that this kind of bias occurs on all sides of the political aisle, not just with your opposition.

Where did this type of bias show up "on the other side"?

Most on the right said while McChrystal was correct about Obama, he should not have said it in public

The liberal media once savaged Gen Petraeus when he worked for Bush - now they support him

Why?

You and your fellow travelers are, as usual, missing the critical distinction here. The generals fired for criticizing the Bush administration were offering valid, substantiated criticism of Bush administration policy and strategy leading up to, and during the Bush administration debacle in Iraq. They were offering constructive criticism in an attempt to bring a realistic assessment of Bush administration policy in Iraq.

General McChrystal and his aides made comments which, if he were an enlisted man, would have been subject to sanction under the UCMJ. You and your fellow water-heads need to have more than a nodding acquaintance with reality.

and liberals like you - who hated Bush and despised Gen David Petraeus - still hate Bush but now love Gen David Petraeus

The liberal media, desperate to prop up the falling poll numbers of Obama - sing the praises of Gen David Petraeus a man the Dems called a hack, a lap dog, a liar, and a puppet of Pres Bush

That is the point I am making BP. The usual double standards of the left
