Look at this shit?

If you have substantial non-Social Security income while you're retired, why are we paying you at a time when we're broke?" he said. "We just need to be honest with people."

Double-You-Tee-Eff...

YOU (Govt) Steel money from my paycheck every two weeks and act like you are doing me a favor. Now you are suggesting I should feel LUCKY if I don't take care of my own finances well enough upon retirement.

Abolish Social Security.

Actually, we should abolish Social Security, for more than just that reason. It actually leads people to believe that their retirement is taken care of because "I'll get Social Security", so they don't save the money they would have otherwise, relying on it when it is far from reliable in any event.

Had they just gotten any standard savings account, and done a bi-weekly drop of all of the paychecks they receive in their life, even just 10% of their gross pay, they'd make 3x or more than what they would pull from Social Security, and since their credit rating would be vastly better, they would be able to get better housing when the time comes.

The simple messege they are trying to get across is;

"we have mismanaged and wasted your money to the extent that we now need to adjust the Social Security system to extend the benefits of those who actually need it, by depriving those who don't of their meager return on a substantial investment they were forced to make."

This may be an unfair but necessary evil that we might have to accept in order to delay the bankruptcy of Social Security for just a little longer in order to postpone the suffering of the many elderly Americans who will become homeless and eating out of garbage cans almost immediately after their last check.

Hopefully, this will open the American people's eyes to the reality of socialism.

End the SSA Now, and charge the UN proper Rent for use of facilities to augment those who actually NEED the money.

OR..

Make it voluntary

The ROI is about 0 percent and when you die the principle is forfeited. FDR lied about the program from the get-go and the 'Rats have been lying about it ever since.

The federal government has no problem screwing millions of Americans out of their mandatory SS investment.

But I haven't heard anything concerning benefits being discontinued for new immigrants and illegal aliens who paid in nothing.

Exactly who is it that our elected representatives in Washington DC work for?...Maybe it's time for a complete house cleaning?

It definitely is, and The Obama has given conservatives an excellent opportunity by showing the silent majority just how far he is willing to go to screw us. Lets hope that they carpe diem.

Here's where I stray a bit from conservatism, sort of.

In it's purest form, social security and welfare are good ideas IMO. We are a very wealthy nation, one of the wealthiest. Why can't we take care of our indigent and elderly?

I'll tell you why, because the scope of these programs are broadened and they morph into something that they shouldn't be. SS becomes an oft raided piggy bank. It's obligations are currently underfunded and SS's continued existence is in question - which screws guys like me who paid into it over my lifetime and I will likely not see the vast majority of the funding I put into it, along with many of you of course.

Welfare becomes an abused entitlement program that serves a voting base instead of the truly needy as it should have served.

But isn't that true with programs designed and controlled by liberals? And, will this likely be true with the healthcare legislation that we recently passed?

Of course it's true.
