My nephew from Georgia is staying at my house for a few weeks. My wife has 2 tickets to this Sunday's Yankee game. They WERE for her and my son, but my nephew and I will be going instead. He's a huge Yankees fan and has never been to a game. God knows she would never get me a ticket, so thanks to my nephew being in town I get to see the game by "association"!

Here's a view from where we'll be sitting. We are in the 2nd row, seats 1 & 2. The tickets were $900 apiece!!

Nope, $1800 total for the seats, but paid for by her company. They generally buy these and give them to clients and out of town visitors. Yankee Stadium is currently the biggest rip-off out of all the venues out there. Don't even ever think of buying "premium" seating where you get a box or catered room!

I would pay someone $1,800 to get me the fuck out of Yankee stadium.

I thoroughly despise the MLB. Hate 'em worse than Wal Mart.

Good night!!!! $1800 for two tickets?!!!! I guess thats how they pay Jeters salary:eek:

Those same seats would probably cost $100 at a Reds game...if that! Granted the Yankees is a monster of an organization, but even witht the Reds in first that would be outrageous here.

You can get Irates tix for free.

Hell, if you pay your cards right, you might get a free beer for taking them off someone's hands.

The game was awesome today and the Yanks won 9-5. I can't even begin to tell any true baseball fan how this experience was, and more so if you're a Yanks fan. Our seats were the "legend seats" which are those that wrap from 1st base around home plate and out to 3rd base, all field level. We sat right behind the "on deck" circle and were 5 feet from every Yankee player. To get to these seats you must enter through the "Legends Suite" area which is a monster 4 star restaurant (Crab legs, shrimp, steak and everything you could think of). They also had every beverage you could think of, candy, popcorn, hot dogs, burgers.... and with these tickets everything was free. I would never pay to do it again out of pocket, but it's not something I would soon forget. Here's some pics to give you an idea of how close we were to home plate and the Yanks dugout.
