You know it is an election year - and a close election - when liberals try to suck up to members of the US miltary after smearing them for the last 8 years

In the military you serve your country - in Congress Boxer serves herself.

Hmm ... lets check the polls Congress vs. veterans and see how it all washes out.

I would bet a nickel to a donut that if the military offered the same benefits a Congress person recieves (including the health care and retirement) there would be no shortage of volunteers for any Service. The Congress person doesn't even have to place their life on the line to get those benefits and can get themselves a raise any time they want.

But of course, we all know that members of the military are merely socialist, brainwashed robots who mercillesly kill civilians. Congress on the other hand, are the best and brightest this country has to offer.
