I hear Tesla and Toyota are teaming up to build an electric. Could be interesting.

CP...the tires on that car will cost you more than you ever save on gas.

Hell, the Chevy Volt is $41,000. After the first forty grand, what's another nine? Personally, if I were inclined to buy one or the other, I'd go with the Tesla. If for no other reason than they didn't take any bailout money. GM and Chrysler are both on my "do not buy" list.

Damn, that is nice. I could haul all the way down to Virginia before needing to recharge

If I had the money it wouldn't be about what I save on gas - it'd be doing my part to help us get off the tit of foreign oil.

You don't need money to walk or ride a bike, CP. You can help now. :poke:

fwiw, my subaru runs 0-60 in about 4.8-9 seconds, and tops out about 150. For a LOT less money :D

^^^^This model is more my style...and 0-60 in 3 and a half seconds. :) Cause for that? Low weight and Max torque at 0 rpms.

Bus is it an electric?

His first Subaru also doesn't look NEARLY as cool as that Tesla! :)

But is it an electric?

Yes. Same company. Another clue - Max engine torque at 0 rpms. That's electric :)

Riding a bike or walking doesn't help me cart the family around..

And yes - that Tesla looks cooler. But..if one pays for performance...just sayin. :)

Gotta sacrifice to achieve utopia. I thought you'd know that living out there.
