or more ......... In an effort to reshape how the world views private enterprise and capitalistic profits, the uber-wealthy are going public with their plans for donating to charities.

Billionaire Oracle (http://online.wsj.com/public/quotes/main.html?type=djn&symbol=ORCL) Corp. founder Larry Ellison will join film director George Lucas and 38 other mega-wealthy people in following a call by Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates to pledge to give the majority of their riches to charity.

On Wednesday, Mr. Buffett announced that 40 of America's wealthiest individuals and families, from former Citigroup (http://online.wsj.com/public/quotes/main.html?type=djn&symbol=MSFT) Inc. leader Sandy Weill (http://topics.wsj.com/person/a/paul-g-allen/470) to hotel mogul Barron Hilton, have signed the "Giving Pledge."
Mr. Buffett and Mr. Gates in June had asked the individuals and families to publicly commit to give away at least half of their wealth within their lifetimes or after their deaths.

This sounds great and I hope they do great things. I'm sure some people will be helped in the extreme with some of the gifts.
However my dark cynical side tells me it's another way for the uber rich ti hide there money. in tax free foundations. AND that some of the goals to change the world are not all good.

It's a FACT that the Rockefeller foundations has funded population control and eugenics from the early 1900's to the present .starting with Margret Sanger and Planned Parenthood that has continued in various forms to this day. Gates has advocated vacines for the 3rd world. Maliria treatments is one mentioned often. . That sounds great but vacines have been proven to used as a form birth and population control in many 3rd world countries, wiht many local woman refuseing to take the shots. Gates has said as much in a way that makes it sound like a good thing, or that maybe that's not what he means.
If he had said it once . I could blow it off as paranoid speculation but twice in 2 different venues. makes me wonder about his motives.
Plus he's a global warming believer, so he's wants to get everyone else to bring there carbon footprint to ZERO.
