There is a war of words being waged in this country. On one side are thinking citizens who would like to see parents given the choice to remove their children from horrible schools without having to give up everything they have to pay for tuition. Believe it or not, public schools in many areas are full of gangs, rape, and failure. Two quotes from the article.

[To a private citizen who has used his own money to put 8000 children in private school] I've got two black kids in my school that are identical twins. They've just entered the sixth grade. They're 11 years old. They're good kids. They're good students. They don't want to be in a gang. The gang is after them. And if you don't give them a scholarship on an emergency basis, they're going to get killed.

We had one little girl who was told the very first day she got to middle school that at 11 years old, she was too pretty to be a virgin. These guys tried to rape her right in the classroom at the end of the day. Purely by God's grace, the teacher came back into the room and started screaming just before this little girl was violated.

In direct contradiction to stories like these, teachers' unions spend millions, if not billions of dollars every year (on a local scale, they typically outspend all political parties combined) telling everyone that schools are fine and that school choice will ruin schools. The truth is that school choice will ruin the careers of incompetant teachers and administrators whose careers deserve destroying.

What is wrong with being pro-choice?
