She's got a lot of skeletons in her closet -

In a 2005 lawsuit, O’Donnell implied she was working toward a Master’s degree at Princeton University; but she later acknowledged never having taken any graduate courses there. She has claimed that she studied Post Modernism in the New Millennium at Oxford University in England; but that claim was called "misleading" by The Washington Post as she took only a course run by an unaffiliated institution called the Phoenix Institute, which was merely renting space at Oxford.
As of late September 2010, O'Donnell's LinkedIn profile stated that she had attended Claremont Graduate University near Los Angeles in California; but the University said there is "no student or education record for an individual named Christine O'Donnell." O'Donnell said in response, "I never established a LinkedIn profile or authorized anyone to do so on my behalf.” Yet, days earlier, O’Donnell’s staff, when asked specifically about her profile on three occasions by the Associated Press and The Washington Post, made no reference to the profile being unauthorized. A few days later, however, when O’Donnell’s possible academic embellishments became an issue, O’Donnell’s staff asked LinkedIn to remove the profile

I would not, in any fashion, defend this women or her beliefs....mainly because I don't know her or what she actually believes....she will not win office in Delaware....
But the quotes intrigue me nonetheless....

"We took the Bible and prayer out of public schools. Now we're having weekly shootings. We had the 60s sexual revolution, and now people are dying of AIDS."

The implication that A caused B is her opinion....she entitled to hers as you are to yours, a case can be made for and against that implication....but the facts are undeniable...

We have taken the Bible out of public schools
We have frequent shootings
We had a sexual revolution, and
People are dying of AIDS/HIV

"God may choose to heal someone from cancer, yet that person still has a great deal of medical bills. The outstanding bills do not determine whether or not the patient has been healed by God."

About 85% of US citizens, believe in God.
I dare say that most, if not all, of those that truly believe in some omnipotent GOD would agree with this statement/opinion...they think that everything that happens is God's will....

"A candidate said several years ago, 'I'm not concerned the reason you vote for me as long as you vote for me.'"

Can you prove some candidate didn't say it?...It sounds like something a politician would say....it even sounds slightly familiar.

"America is now a socialist economy. The definition of a socialist economy is when 50% or more your economy is dependent on the federal government."

Another opinion to me, but incorrectly stated as fact....I can actually see a case for this opinion but it certainly isn't a fact....

"American scientific companies are cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains."

"You know what, evolution is a myth... Why aren't monkeys still evolving into humans?"

These two just are the rants of someone that is utterly ignorant in the field of science....shows a definite touch of stupid to say anything like this and then strive to be taken seriously....

"During the primary, I heard the audible voice of God. He said, 'Credibility.'"
People that hear voices scare me.....any voices. And have no "credibility" in my mind.

The leftists, of course, do not mention the things that really scare them about O'Donnell: She is mostly conservative, and wants to reduce government, lower taxes AND spending, and remove many programs that government currently runs.

But you won't find them talking about THOSE beliefs. Because the leftists know they cannot rationally justify teir oppositions to them, nor its real reasons: That they don't trust the people to make their own decisions. They think the country will be worse off if people are allowed to do that.

So they keep carping about oddball quotes, dredged-up college dates, etc.

Pretty sad.

Did anyone listen to the debate O'Donnell engaged in with the Dem guy on Wed. night? She is a total loon. I could care less if she is Democrat or Republican. The woman is not informed. She is OK when someone is feeding her answers to tough questions. But when put on the spot, she is clueless.
I am glad she is running for office in Delaware and not someplace else.

"We took the Bible and prayer out of public schools. Now we're having weekly shootings. We had the 60s sexual revolution, and now people are dying of AIDS."

Those are facts. She didn't assign causation.

"God may choose to heal someone from cancer, yet that person still has a great deal of medical bills. The outstanding bills do not determine whether or not the patient has been healed by God."

Again, factual statements.

"A candidate said several years ago, 'I'm not concerned the reason you vote for me as long as you vote for me.'"

Shouldn't you be upset at the candidate who said that?

"America is now a socialist economy. The definition of a socialist economy is when 50% or more your economy is dependent on the federal government."

How do you define socialist economy?

"American scientific companies are cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains."

GOOD - if that's true, Liberals will no longer have an excuse ;)

"You know what, evolution is a myth... Why aren't monkeys still evolving into humans?"

Again - those are true statements. Evolution is a theory - in the eyes of many scientists, it's a theory with gaping holes. And another truth - Monkeys are not evolving into anything but other monkeys. True statement.

"During the primary, I heard the audible voice of God. He said, 'Credibility.'"

Okay? What's the problem? She has faith in a deity. She believes that deity interacts with her. I'd guestimate 75% of the world's population feels their deity does the same thing.

Critical thinking - look into it.

Do you even know what a theory is? It means we observe something happening and we are attempting to explain it. Call it whatever you want, but it's not a myth. You should really take a biology class.

...then Macro evolution isn't a theory??? That what you are saying? It's certainly NOT observable. I was being generous to the line of thinking.

Yeah I don't want that 75% of god hearing wackos running for office in the USA. Do you?

You are saying you're FINE with the other 25% of wackos running for office? Odd. What does that have to do with my statement though? I wasn't talking about wackos, I was talking about the VERY VAST majority of the world's population. You just hate things like "Truth" and "Faith" so you are inherently biased against what, based on stats, would be "Normal" ways of thinking - if Normal = 'thinking that goes along w/ the mainstream/majority.

...then Macro evolution isn't a theory??? That what you are saying? It's certainly NOT observable. I was being generous to the line of thinking.

Contrary to this belief among the anti-evolution movement proponents, evolution of life forms beyond the species level ("macroevolution", i.e. speciation in a specific case) has indeed been observed multiple times under both controlled laboratory conditions and in nature.[10] The claim that macroevolution does not occur, or is impossible, is thus demonstrably false and without support in the scientific community.

Such claims are rejected by the scientific community on the basis of ample evidence that macroevolution is an active process both presently and in the past.[5][11] The terms macroevolution and microevolution relate to the same processes operating at different scales, but creationist claims misuse the terms in a vaguely defined way which does not accurately reflect scientific usage, acknowledging well observed evolution as "microevolution" and denying that "macroevolution" takes place.[5][12] Evolutionary theory (including macroevolutionary change) remains the dominant scientific paradigm for explaining the origins of Earth's biodiversity. Its occurrence is not disputed within the scientific community.[13] While details of macroevolution are continuously studied by the scientific community, the overall theory behind macroevolution (i.e. common descent) has been overwhelmingly consistent with empirical data. Predictions of empirical data from the theory of common descent have been so consistent that biologists often refer to it as the "fact of evolution"

I wasn't aware that she was running for President.

And how do you know that something similar to this isn't being attempted? Are you in every research lab in the country? I don't know either, so I wouldn't try to say that I do.

Also, since it is common knowledge that Christine was on TV making comments back when she was in high school, care to tell us when the statement was made, and in what context?

With all the Republicans leading the polls right now, one must wonder why O'Donnell is the whipping boy. Perhaps libs cannot countenance attractive, Conservative, Christian women? More than a bit of misogyny and Christian-phobia going on here, methinks.

I sympathize with your desire that the American people NOT be allowed to choose their own government unless the candidates are pre-qualified by YOU.

It jives with your obvious conviction that most Americans can't be trusted to make their own decisions, choose their own government, or be responsible for their own lives.

Unfortunately for you, your desires conflict with the most fundamental American ideal: That regular people CAN make their own decisions, guide their own fates, and abide by the consequences without being "rescued" by superior do-gooders such as yourself.

Perhaps you can go ply your wares in some other country that is not built on that fundamental ideal, that you abhor so much?

But please stop trying to mess this one up. This country's philosophy, and yours, just don't get along.

No now a wacko is someone who wants the government to live within its means, supporting lower taxes so people can keep more of the money they earn, repealing unconstitutional bills like Obamacare, less government influenence in the free market, and allowing more domestic energy exploration?

How can anyone vote for a candidate who is clueless about the First amendment to the Constitution of the United States? O'Donnell is only on the ballot because she is a teabagger.

Speaking of clueless Gabby, why did you vote for Obama?

How is all that hope and change doing for you?

The TEa PArty will win elections on Nov 2 Gabby, and I do hope they push for the needed changes we need

I would hope you would too for the sake of your daughter

It would appear that the Liberal that O'Donnell was debating is the one that doesn't know what the First Amendment includes.

How does that make you feel, Gabby? Sexier than you and also more knowledgeable than your ignorant liberal she's running against. Twit.

Nice work, Kathi. Malkin rocks my socks.
