I live in california, home of the fiscally irresponsible democratically controlled legislature.

This election, I found that I just couldn't vote for a democrat, partially because of their flawed tax and spend philosophy partly because they were mostly incumbents, partly because the republicans have better personal stories

as follows

Meg Whitman - Governor

Abel Maldonado - Lieutenant Governor

Damon Dunn - Secretary of State

Tony Strickland - Controller

Mimi Walters - Treasurer

Steve Cooley - Attorney General

mike villines - Insurance commissioner

michelle Steel Member, State Board of Equalization 3rd district

Carly Fiorina - United States Senator

Duncan D Hunter - U.S. Rep 52nd district

Joel Anderson - 36th State Senator

Brian Jones - 77th state assembly

Prop 19 Legalize and Tax marijuana (voted Yes)

Prop 20 Congressional district lines to be re-drawn by a committee (Voted Yes)

prop 21 Increase vehicle license fees by $18 a year to fund state parks (voted NO)

Prop 22 State government prohibited from taking designated types of local funds (Voted Yes)

Prop 23 Suspend AB 32, the "Global Warming Solutions Act" until unemployment falls below 5.5% (Voted Yes)

prop 24 Eliminates three business tax breaks (Voted No)

prop 25 State budget and budget-related legislation can be passed with a simple majority vote, rather than current 2/3rds requirement (voted N0)

prop 26 Voters must give permission before any new taxes can be imposed (voted Yes)

Prop 27 Return task of redistricting to the California State Legislature (repealing Prop 11) (Voted No)

For us it's just a single ballot paper with a few names (in the district I was in there was 6) and you put an 'x' beside the one you want, and that's it lol.

Your seeing part of the difference between socialism and a free democracy. Your only allowed to vote for those who will tell you what you can do and rule over you.

What do you mean seeing? The British system has been like this since the 19th Century, are you claiming that back then they where preparing the way for socialism over 150 years later? (and in doing so saying britian has never been a free democracy?)

They unwittingly prepared the way for socialism. Britain has become a socialist state and is therefore doomed to failure.
