Ive been thinking about something like this for a while so thought I'd throw it out there, the idea is simple, we are ofcourse a social species and are ever developing new tools to had the process of having discussions, and there is a steady stream heading back to interactive face to face discussions (which are ofcourse what we are specialised at)

So, to this end I thought I would be interesting to suggest a debate were instead of posting text, one posts an embeded video for the post content. There are several advantages, a 5 min video can have much more content than a very long post, as it's much more dynamic nothing is lost in translation etc.

Though there are obvious disadvantages, the two main ones being either people not wanting to have their face seen on a public forum or a lack of knowledge (or hardware) to make it possible for someone to do it. But if anyone does, I'm game :)

I suspect people don't want there face shown on a public forum, because political beliefs can be controversial and if a boss got a hold of the video and felt a serious disagreement with a viewpoint it could be held against you.......tips the fedora:rolleyes:

Yeah I thought that'd be the main 'block' as it were, in any end (personally) if I held a private belief that someone would fire me over, for example being an atheist, then I wouldn't want to work for them anyway,

IIRC that's how Eddie Izzard describes being a transvestite, 'a tomboy lesbian in a mans body'
