With our out of control deficit...why are we helping the Palestinian Authority close their budget gap?

Earlier, Clinton announced that the United States has transferred $150 million in new aid to the Palestinian Authority to help close its budget gap.

"This new funding will help the Palestinian Authority pay down its debt, continue to deliver services and security to its people, and keep the progress going," she said. "It will support our work together to expand Palestinians' access to schools, clinics and clean drinking water in both the West Bank and Gaza [Strip]."

The secretary of state said the funds bring U.S. direct budget assistance to the Palestinian Authority to $225 million this year. Overall support and investment to the Palestinians is nearly $600 million for the year.

Small change, but wasted to be sure. I think the PA needs to be make some massive reforms before we should keep pumping them money.

We need to pay down our own debt! No money for other countries, period. If private citizens wish to donate for catastrophes or what have you, their right. No more from the US government.

Why should we help? Because the government does not care about our American people. They do not care about our children and patient.Nado the money to pay Russian they use them correctly.

We're still paying off "enemy" Warlords in Afghanistan as well.
And Giving the Corrupt Karzi Gov't congress "bags" of money.

We're giving Israel $2.70 billion in military aid this year more next year. (http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/US-Israel/foreign_aid.html)

We're giving Egypt $1.55 billion, including $250 million in nonmilitary aid. (http://www.boston.com/news/world/middleeast/articles/2010/04/18/us_aid_cuts_hit_egypts_democracy_groups/)

and other middle eastern countries too.

Seems the Palestinians are getting jipped.

Thread: U.S. gives $150,000,000 to Palestinian Authority to close budget gap

Soounds like a great idea. Now they can take the $150M of their own money (i.e. given to them by Iran, Russia etc.) they no longer have to spend on food and schools, and use it to buy weapons to kill more Jews with instead.

After what we've done for them (not a lot, of course, mostly refraining from blowing them off the map for being a bunch of liars, fake "refugees", and murderous thugs), they should be sending us $150M to help close our budget gap.
