3. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want the men and women who rescued people after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 to get healthy."

This even leaves out vaguely controversial things like the DREAM Act.

1. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want poor people to be able to eat."

Why should anyone eat off of someone elses dime unless it's freely given?

2. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want you to not have feces on your food."No one wants that. Hey, it was working fine, what happened? Cuts in the USDA inspectors perhaps? Get em back up to speed there's no need for MORE Gov agencies to solve this riddle..

3. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want the men and women who rescued people after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 to get healthy."So does everyone else, thing is, no one forced these folks into their profession and no one should be forced to bail em out when they encounter the of hazards of the profession. It's an employer/employee issue.

4. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want firefighters and police officers to be able to get fair pay." Another employer issue..if the employee doesn't like the pay they are free to seek other employment.

5. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want all Americans to be able to openly serve in the military."I don't want to see a wheel chair or toe shoe brigade.

6. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want women and men to make the same wage for the same work."Another employer/employee issue the Gov has no business in.

7. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want to make the nation safe from nuclear weapons."To late. Now the best defense is a strong offense. StarWars etc.

This even leaves out vaguely controversial things like the DREAM Act.Yeah, there's ALWAYS MORE "WE WANT".

What the Republicans want is for everyone to personally achieve what they want.

What the Left wants is the spoils of those that have.

1. Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want poor people to be able to <a href=http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-02/white-house-to-release-report-on-effect-of-expired-jobless-aid.html>eat</a>.

So, millions of people facing poverty because the congressional GOP leadership refuses to extend unemployment benefits...costing some $ 18 billion which, according to GOP leadership has to be paid for...because they want $700 billion in tax cuts for America's wealthiest citizens. Which incidentally aren't paid for. Oh, and there's Matthew 25:40-43.

2. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want you to not have feces on your <a href=http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/12/01/gop-may-block-food-safety-bill/?src=twt&twt=thecaucus>food</a>.

With the food safety scares that the nation has faced in the past few years what's to argue about with food safety legislation? Do you want salmonella and e. choli in your food? The Food Safety Modernization Act provides for more inspectors, more broad based testing of the food supply, the power for the FDA to order immediate recalls of contaminated food. And the GOP leadership kept the bill bottled up for more than a year before it finally passed.

3. Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want the men and women who rescued people after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 to get <a href=http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/12/01/2010-12-01_pols_in_911_push_chuck_gilly_sweeten_pot_in_hun t_for_1_more_zadroga_yea.html>healthy</a>.

So the men and women who responded to the aftermath of 9-11 in NYC should not be able to get the care they need for the health problems they developed as a direct result of their courage and determination to try and find survivors and recover the dead?

4. Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want firefighters and police officers to be able to get <a href=http://www.iaff.org/politics/legislative/Bargain.htm>fair pay</a>.

SO we ask police, firefighters and TSA employees to put their lives on the line absent the ability to have meaningful input into their wages and benefits?

5. Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want all Americans to be able to openly serve in the military.

Why is a tax-cut for America's wealthiest citizens more important that the ability of ALL Americans to serve their country if they choose to do so?

6. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want women and men to make the same wage for the same work."

Why are tax cuts for America's wealthiest citizens more important than men and women getting paid the same wages for the same work?

7. "Republicans want billionaires to be richer. We want to make the nation safe from nuclear weapons."

Despite overwhelming support from military commanders, past and present...Overwhelming support from secretaries of state, past and present...Despite support from a significant majority of the GOP Senate caucus..One Senator, John Kyl (R-AZ), has delayed ratification of the new START treaty. A treaty which would help ensure the security of the US, adn teh world by helping to secure loose nukes.

I could go on, but some of you...a tiny minority of you...get the point. Why are tax cuts for America's wealthiest citizens more important than any of the issue facing this country? GOP intransigence on this one issue should be a painfully obvious clue to anyone with more than two synapses to rub together that the GOP doesn't give a shit about anyone outside those wealthiest Americans. Americans who, incidentally, poured millions of dollars of laundered money into the mid-term elections for no other purpose than buying Congress.

This ain't about "wants", its about doing what's right for America.

The tax cuts is the one log jamming the whole works. And by concentrating on that log they keep all the other stuff bottled up until next year when the new congress takes over. Then the log will be removed and the flow will start again.

And you idiots wonder why you were anihilated in November. Revenue that hasn't been collected yet isn't paid for? There's a simple solution apparently lost on liberals...CUT SPENDING!

As for the GOP being heartless, I'd say letting people suckle from the government tit for 99 weeks was more than generous. I'll put a paycheck on the line that it was a Dem who set up the extension to expire just before Christmas knowing they could get lots of sympathy support for another extension.

How many decades exactly do you feel someone should be allowed to draw unemployment?

Republicans was everyone to be able to keep more of their own money. Something needs to be very clear here and that is that what I earn is MINE and not the property of the US government who in it's largesse allows me to keep a little bit for my own use.

A quick Google search shows that you ripped this off from any one of a number of left wing sites and your lack of a citation simply evidences the modern left wing attitude of "what's your is mine."

And millions will continue to face poverty until the economy starts to improve. So why do BO and the Dems hate the poor at the expense of vilifying productive Americans?

Why is it only an expansion of government regardless to the cost of society that will fix the problem? How much will food costs go up because of additional government regulation? How long will it be before you start complaining about food costs as a result of the implementation of your policies?

So the men and women who responded to the aftermath of 9-11 in NYC should not be able to get the care they need for the health problems they developed as a direct result of their courage and determination to try and find survivors and recover the dead?

I thought this was already passed, so how are they being held hostage to tax cuts?

SO we ask police, firefighters and TSA employees to put their lives on the line absent the ability to have meaningful input into their wages and benefits?

They don't have any input to their wages and benefits? How many TSA agents have lost their lives?

Why is a tax-cut for America's wealthiest citizens more important that the ability of ALL Americans to serve their country if they choose to do so?

Is this being held up by tax cuts as well?

Why are tax cuts for America's wealthiest citizens more important than men and women getting paid the same wages for the same work?

I thought BO "fixed" this problem last year.
