Shot this after the rain broke this week........ with my iPhone4!!!!!
I am amazed at what it can capture sometimes, other times the photos look like complete shit, but with such a tiny lens and sensor...... I need to get a real, small point and shoot that I can carry with me all the time, too many incredible opportunities at work for dramatic sunset shots and of course aircraft..... got to have something better than a phone!

Yeah, 'epic' pics taken in HDR mode are amazing, I find the camera itself seems to work best in low light, and can struggle a bit in well lit situations.

Though I have to also say I have some pics on my laptop taken on my 3G that look awesome, and that was only a 2 megapixel cam, apple tend to be able to get allot out of a little cam-wise, most times.

I didn't have HDR turned on when I shot this.

Beautiful shots, Sitarro!

I bought my girlfriend a real nice camera for Christmas and I intend to take it with me on my helicopter trips around the State this year... hopefully I can get some nice ones like you've taken.

So .... WHO did you buy the camera for? Kinda like when my husband bought me a new underwater camera ... but I had never scuba dived before!

It was to "encourage" me to learn to scuba dive but he would make good use of it in the meantime.

LOL

Welllllll... I kinda lost her waterproof camera last fall, it was in my pocket and I was running through the woods chasing kids... never did find the thing. So I figured if I was going to buy a camera, get a nice one!

Besides, when I asked her what she wanted for Christmas, she told me she liked the new Dyson vacuum cleaner. There's no way in hell I'll buy my girlfriend a damn vacuum for Christmas!

Thanks for the compliment NightTrain but I've seen your photographs and whatever camera you've been using has worked very well for you ...... I'm eager to see what you'll capture with the new one.
A good friend of mine and her husband, both great photographers, went to Alaska for three weeks and came back with stunning shots of the Grizzlies stuffing themselves on salmon(they had some knowledgeable guides)........ I can't wait to go to that beautiful State myself, I might fly up with my brothers when they get their new plane built.

Didn't like it in landing configuration so I made it look like it was taking off.

http://http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv299/Sitarro2009/8x10Continental737900gearup9903.jpgfirst two are great,l especially numbeer one, I really like the monochrome effect. I have shot a few of those with that effect, but it was never intentional.!!

Back in the day, I had a mobil charge card, and I was getting ready to declare bankruptcy, so I charged a sLR camera, non brand name, and got some of the besst pics I ever took to this day
