So, since you were a cop back in the day, I gotta ask!

What was the most bullshit excuse ever given to you after pulling someone over for an infraction?

I've given a few whoppers over the years with mixed success; probably the least successful lie I ever told was when I packed up the family and drove from Fairbanks to Valdez (about 350 miles) on a day trip.

The kids and wife were getting cranky by the time we were almost to Valdez, and there's a nice straight bit of roadway right as you get 10 miles out of Valdez. I bumped up to 70 out of boredom in a 55 MPH zone, because we'd been doing 40 for the last 30 miles due to extreme corners, hills and ice, and saw the Suburban coming toward me with what looked like a ski rack on top his rig. Everyone in Valdez has a ski rack on top their cars, turns out it was a cop with the new (back then) low profile lights so I never bothered slowing down.

He pulled me over and I jabbed my thumb to the back seat of my truck and told him my son (2 years old) was getting potty trained and he was about to have an accident... I thought my odds were good at getting off with this story.

He looked at my son, and nodded and said he'd write that ticket as fast as he could to help do his part! LOL I think that was a $180 ticket.

I didn't do traffic. I did transportation, and escort duty, intake and court room security. So I didn't hear the ticket excuses. I got to fight with the drunks.

We had one guy who thought he was Bruce Lee. Went into a stance... He was no Bruce Lee. He got to see what it felt like to have six deputies hit him at once. Then he hit the floor.

I'll tell a longer story later.

Dad was a little confused on this one.............. considering Ry is not a cop but he was a bouncer at a local Hispanic club we worked at and we had two sets of double doors........ well one night we had a dumb ass drunk who Ry was removing from the club and they slammed his face into the first set of double doors guy thought he would be smart with the second set so he kicked the dooor open with his foot the door came back and smacked him in the face  needless to say the cops in the parking lot doing detail that night were laughing there asses off.
