As much as I hate to jump into this; I'm compelled to do so. Global warming doesn't mean the snowfall stops. Some areas may indeed get more, others less; but the accumulated snow areas (poles, glaciers etc) has been lessened, due to a global warming trend. Rather or not human activity has influenced this remains contested by some; but of higher relevance is that our consumption of resources is unsustainable, or greater than what the global systems can renew, and if the warming trend(rather or not we caused it) will make resource renewal even slower. Carbon credits will do only one thing, offset our consumption of resources to more sustainable renewal rates- this in turn will retard industrial growth, then commercial growth, job reduction in traditional sectors etc. I suppose the issue, at its core, is rather we should care at all. I mean societies have collapsed throughout history, while others flourished; there are many commonalities between both, but the overwhelming difference between them was their response to their environment, be they natural or a product of man.

My point is, if one wants production and another wants investment; doesn't the greater confidence prevail? Which are we more confident in, our ability to produce or our ability to invest?

We got 4-6 inches of global warming on Tuesday and are getting 4 more inches of global warming tomorrow

Syracuse has a record amount of global warming this year, as are other parts of the country.

The price of oranges, tomatoes, and other produce is sky high thanks to sudden bouts of global warming that killed off a large number of crops.

We are also helping the environment by diverting 40% of the nation's corn crop into making ethanol for cars. This is supposed to be saving us money.. the last time I filled up, I paid $3.29 a gallon (I live in NY).

That way can claim the sky is falling no matter which way the temperature goes.
