6 May 1992 I entered Basic Training. Had I stayed IN, I'd be 5 years from Retirement.

It's been a QUICK 15 years, I suppose. No regrets though.

40 years ago may 6. I was somewhere in the central highlands of south vietnam.

I'd have retired 14 years ago. Not my cup of tea though, I could have never done 20.

I'm closing in on 24 yrs for my military sahved head and first steps on the yellow footprints.....glad I served, and also glad that I did not stay in for 20+....

On a side note, I have been asked to be a Blue Star Escort at Rolling Thunder over Memeorial Day weekend in Washington DC. I will have the privilege to escort a mother, wife daughter or son on the back of my motorcycle during the Memorial Ride that goes from the Pentagon parking lot to the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
