There is no sense trying to keep up with what is happening in Egypt or anyplace in the Middle East on American TV, because the reporters are unable to get close to what is happening. No one there trusts Americans, or anyone who speaks English.
The best coverage (and, currently, the only live cameras) comes from Al-Jazeera. Egypt has banned them, like the Western media, but it is tough to suppress correspondents who can blend into the crowd and speak the language.
It's fascinating stuff.
