I lmao'd...I wonder who she will blame.

A Pontiac woman’s theft attempt was foiled earlier this week when the motorized cart she was trying to escape in became stuck at a Rochester Hills Meijer, she was subsequently tasered.

The woman, Jerrie Perkins, 30, allegedly tried to steal $600 worth of electronic merchandise from a Meijer store in Pontiac.

However, when her motorized cart got stuck in the exit door the staff at the Meijer was alerted of the attempted theft by alarms. When asked for receipts for the merchandise Perkins became violent when she was not able to procure proof of the stolen goods.

Perkins, a woman who is described at being around 400 pounds and 5 foot 2 then became violent and the police were called.

The tasering just adds to the comedy:

Perkins wound up shoving the store’s loss prevention officer and hit her in the face. When asked to put her hands behind her back Perkins instead took a fighting stance while still sitting in her motorized cart.

Oh absolutely - those go hand-in-hand. She'll sue under Civil law after her claims of being targeted due to her 'disability' fail in court. she'll claim abuse. She'll claim "People have a RIGHT to not be tasered!" and "the cops "Should have known" she was not responsible for ANYTHING".

I'm still laughing at the word subsequently preceeding the word tasered. :laugh2:

Must have been easy to hide the merchandise.

Too bad she was so fat. If not for all that resistance, being tasered while on an electric cart should have given her ride enough torque to shoot it out of that door and across the parking lot! :laugh2:

Hasn't sheriff Dupnik from Arizona claimed that this shoplifter was inspired by some poster put out by Sarah Palin?

Did she need to be zapped, I mean really, what sort of force cannot restrain a women who's movement is limited to the swivel of her chair without resorting to zapping =/

I suppose the theory is using a taser reduces the chances of any physical harm occurring to either party. If the cops were to chose to handle it physically, there's a good chance of someone getting something broken.
