For the foreseeable future, my new home is Joint Base Balad, Iraq. My shift starts in 5 hours, and i'm so screwed up time-wise...can't sleep. :(

Glad you made it safely. I'm sure you will adjust soon. So, how hot is it? :salute:

I imagine you are working now, and will have an eventful day. Hopefully this evening (whenever that is for you) you will get some good rest.

Get us some cool pics of the planes and fighter jets if you can!

Oh, and be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone!

In the past 19 hours, I've slept about 3. EXHAUSTED. My new boss had me jump right in with meetings and input on various things. I can't begin to describe the job satisfaction I have from working on 'real' projects and plans.

I <3 it.

Won't be able to take many photos as the war is still going on. Can't risk operational details being out there on the interweb. But, i'll try to paint word pictures of me and my life here, avoiding work stuff as much as possible.

Wow, take care, Darin. Do you mind if I say that I miss dimples?

thanks folks - boy hasn't adjusted yet. Sleep patterns are jacked. by 3pm I am so beyond tired it's silly. By the time i get back to my bunk, around 8pm, I'm awake.

Tonight I'm hearing you. I am going to bed, too old for the all nighters, not handling it well.

Cross your fingers for me, possible good news could come in weeks. I really need some!
