Introduction: Repealing Jimmyrep and Getting Debate and Discussion Right
-The reputation system forced on all members transfers vast powers to those who have used the site the longest.

1. Jimmyrep and the individual mandate: violating personal liberty
- Members are forced to display "reputations" against their will.

2. Jimmyrep and taxes through forced donations: destroying jobs and the economy
- Members who refuse to donate to Debate Policy can receive negative reps for this alone. Their only protection is never to post.

3. Jimmyrep and the budget: playing games with numbers
- 89% of Debate Policy members agree with this movement that Jimmyrep does not benefit Debate Policy financially in any way.

Seriously, how do you have your own board with nazi like rules with nothing remotely negative being allowed to be said to one another - and complain here about the rep system?

I'm sorry you're upset over a few red squares, or lightly spoken negative words sent to you privately. My only advice is to grow a thicker skin, and some balls. You'll have another 7 days to start!

Jim, I think you answered your own question. He can't do much on his own board, so he comes here to "be himself". Think of DB as a sort of therapy session for people who need an outlet. ;)


I too thought it was tongue-in-cheek at first. But a board owner of all people must know that you do not reveal personal messages of any kind without express permission.
