90 Degrees! Chicago Breaks 115-Year-Old Record For Heat
By CBS Chicago cbs Chicago – Tue May 10, 8:04 pm ET
Chicago went from zero to summer on Tuesday, as the high temperature broke a 115-year-old record.
At Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, the National Weather Service reported the temperature hit 90 degrees at 4 p.m. today. The previous record, set in 1896, was 88 degrees.
Just a few days ago, Chicagoans were suffering through one of the coldest springs in memory—with temperatures in the 40s and wind chills—yes, wind chills—in the 30s.
The heat is expected to continue on Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 80s and a chance of thunderstorms. Then, the mercury falls into the 60s for the weekend.
But that still beats what we had just a few weeks ago.
Now about that change?

Notice the 40's creeping back?
