http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2011/06/06/Sandbags-dropped-in-to-save-Iowa-town/UPI-23511307397086/ I USED TO LIVE ABOUT ABOUT 30 MILES NORTH OF THIS QUENT LITTLE HAMLET OF HAMBUG,IA...... This town floods more than New Orleans does, it too needs to go the way of the dodo bird just like new Orleans. saving the same towns over and over just dont make any sense.

whats your problem gabby? if you dont have anything to add but insults maybe its you that needs a break from the net. yearly flooding of the same area year after year needs addressed NOW , treehuggers would rather spend taxpayers[me]dollars to repair and rebuild . If it is a freak of nature thats one thing. this isnt. there are far better ways to spend $$$$$.

I have family in Montana.
They've been ignored in all of this also:

Rain-swollen rivers that have swamped Montana towns could keep flooding the region for another month or more as melting mountain snow delivers a second slug of water to the soggy Northern Plains.

Small towns in Iowa that flood regularly is not my problem. Every state in the union has them.

Comparing small towns in Iowa with a large, historical city like New Orleans is the problem. It's absurd.

Gabby, you need to do some google n and get your facts straight before your make STUPID statements. The town in Iowa and New orleans have the same problem. they regularly flood. why in heavens sake should we the tax payers have to rebuild the same homes and business,s time and time again. you must be a very lib democrat. you make no sense at all.
