The Boy Blunder is busted again, and the liberal media is ignoring it as usal

One of Obama's Emotional Arguments for Obama-Care Proven Wrong in NYT Staffer's New Book

It took a reporter on Keller-dreaded book leave to reel in the story -- but the Times has a scoop that reflects badly on Barack Obama and how he misled people in his campaign for Obama-care: “Book Challenges Obama on Mother’s Deathbed Fight.” Health reporter Kevin Sack wrote about the revelation from “A Singular Woman,” Times reporter Janny Scott’s recent book about Obama’s mother Ann Dunham

The White House on Wednesday declined to challenge an account in a new book that suggests that President Obama, in his campaign to overhaul American health care, mischaracterized a central anecdote about his mother’s deathbed dispute with her insurance company.

During his presidential campaign and subsequent battle over a health care law, Mr. Obama quieted crowds with the story of his mother’s fight with her insurer over whether her cancer was a pre-existing condition that disqualified her from coverage.

In offering the story as an argument for ending pre-existing condition exclusions by health insurers, the president left the clear impression that his mother’s fight was over health benefits for medical expenses.

But in “A Singular Woman: The Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mother,” author Janny Scott quotes from correspondence from the president’s mother to assert that the 1995 dispute concerned a Cigna disability insurance policy and that her actual health insurer had apparently reimbursed most of her medical expenses without argument

OK Gabby, I got it now

With you a liberal can lie to advance thier agenda, and you yawn and forget about it

However, a conservative can make make an honest mistake in an interview you pounce like a cat on a mouse, and call them a liar

If not for your double standards Gabby you would have no standards at all

It beats 'we have to pass to bill to find out what's in it (https://theconservativetreehouse.wordpress.com/2011/07/07/bombshell-discovery-atf-gunrunner-project-funded-by-obamas-stimulus-bill/)'

So, uh... where's the change? All I smell is the same old shit.

You will se plenty of "change"

The cost of healthcare will increase

The quality of the care will decrease

Insurance companies will reduce coverage

Many employers will cease to off coverage to their employees

and many health care providers will close up

Which is what Obama and the libs want to happen leaving the government the only major player in providing healthcare to America

Oh and do not forget all the tax increases in Obamacare

More "change" I guess

Starting in 2013, the bill adds an additional 0.9% to the 2.9% Medicare tax for singles who earn more than $200,000 and couples making more than $250,000.

For first time, the bill also applies Medicare’s 2.9% payroll tax rate to investment income, including dividends, interest income and capital gains. Added to the 0.9% payroll surcharge, that means a 3.8-percentage point tax hike on “the rich.”

Oh, and these new taxes aren’t indexed for inflation, so many middle-class families will soon be considered rich and pay the surcharge as their incomes rise past $250,000 due to tax-bracket creep … Taxpayer cost over 10 years: $210 billion.

Also starting in 2013 is a 2.3% excise tax on medical device manufacturers and importers. That’s estimated to raise $20 billion.

Already underway this year is the new annual fee on “branded” drug makers and importers, which will raise $27 billion.

Another $15.2 billion will come from raising the floor on allowable medical deductions to 10% of adjusted gross income from 7.5%.

Starting in 2018, the bill imposes a whopping 40% “excise tax” on high-cost health insurance plans. Though it only applies to two years in the 2010-2019 window of ObamaCare’s original budget score, this tax would still raise $32 billion—and much more in future years.

And don’t forget a new annual fee on health insurance providers starting in 2014 and estimated to raise $60 billion. This tax, like many others on this list, will be passed along to consumers in higher health-care costs.
