Not in 'legislating morality' or 'Christian Sharia'?

The House, meanwhile, rejected a Senate bill that would have erased language in state law classifying homosexuality as a crime. Montana’s Supreme Court ruled the language unconstitutional several years ago, but the Legislature has refused to take the law off the books.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, ..."

http://js-pastor.blogspot.com/2011/01/sunday-blue-laws.html

The first of these "Blue Laws" was enacted in the colony of Virginia in 1617. Virginia was a Crown colony that enforce the Church of England as the "Established Church" on everyone in the colony. You belonged regardless of your choice of religion. The government collected the church tax of ten percent and gave it to the Church of England. It was payable in tobacco. The Virginia militia was authorized to force colonist to attend Sunday Anglican church services at the point of a gun. If you were a Baptist in Virginia you had to pay the church tax to the Church of England and give to your Baptist congregation.

Is it any wonder that Virginia led the way for separation of Church and state after the revolution?

Unfortunately, homosexuality is as untreatable.

Tell that to folks who have been treated. It's a destructive behaviour - far more-so than things like smoking, yet we rail against those folks "for their own good".

How many out of the tens of millions? And adopting a life of celibacy is hardly a cure of homosexuality...an alcoholic on the wagon is still an alcoholic.

How many does it take to show just about? maybe ALL behaviors are changeable. Folks who abuse Drugs can seek treatment and carry-on great, long lives. Folks who choose to continue in ANY high-risk activity or lifestyle do so at their whims.

Your contention that ALL homosexual activity is dangerous and high-risk is fallacious.

Delusion in the face of truth is treatable if you seek it, Missileman. The righteousness you speak of with regard to someone pointing out the sin of homosexuality is not that of man, it is that of God. Read Romans chapter 1 and 1 Cor 6:9.

I wish hateful right-wingers loved all folks enough to seek treatment for their conditions. But I am guessing that they enjoy discrimination.

Uh-oh. The liberals must be losing even more badly than usual.

They're playing the Nazi card again, calling conservatives "Reichwingers" once more.

Have to feel sorry for these leftist fanatics who have so little to go on that they can only call their opponents names.

Especially calling conservatives Nazis. Apparently they've forgotten (yet again) that Hitler was a socialist just as they are.

No offense, but your whole argument is predicated on delusion, but it's yours, not anyone elses. If you choose to live your life on the basis of a super-duper story book scribbled by some ancient middle-eastern goat herders, knock yourself out. Do the rest of us who don't share your delusion a favor and leave it at that.

Wait... you're saying homosexuality is a 'sin'... and backing this by citing a book that condones the enslavement, rape, and sexual exploitation of any girls you capture in the course of genocide and conquest?

I guess it's American Taliban like you that inspired the anti-shariah laws...

Hitler was a socialist .

So he claimed. He was also a nationalist and a staunch social conservative (read: reactionary) who hated foreigners and banned abortion.

Guess you can't read your own article, huh? You're blaming religion for nothing at all. As usual. Seems to me you spend more time trying to legislate YOUR "morality" than any tent revival pastor I've ever heard.

Another attack on Christianity? What is it with you people? Why don't you have us fed to the lions?

States can pass any law they want so long as it does not violate the Constitution.

After having to endure the abuses of gay supporters on another board, I can tell you, no one is more vicious, sanctimonious, and smugly self righteous than a gay supporter. They claim they preach tolerance but cannot tolerate a dissenting opinion. In my opinion, gay supporters rank as being some of the worst hypocrites on the planet.

He was for the glorification of the State, he had zero conservative values.

Yes, flags everywhere, very patriotic, extremely proud of his military service and a deep love for the armed forces...

he had zero conservative values.

Except, you know, for being an extreme social conservative who stressed the importance of traditional marriage and family, a deep hatred for homosexuals, the banning of abortion, jingoism, social darwinism, and pretty much the same social platform as every conservative party or candidate in any Western nation in the last 100 years.
