The Obama worshippers in the liberal media are in total shock and dismay. After carrying Obama across the finish line in 2008, and telling Ameica (and the world) how great Obama would be; how his shitload of economic experience would bring prosperity back to America - they now have to face the truth

Obama more suited in his role as a community agitator and not President of the US

Poor Evan Thomas will never live down his ludicrous comment that President Obama was “sort of God.” What seemed like slobbering now seems outright dumb, given the president’s performance. And don’t take my word for it.

Left-wing pundits have discovered he’s sort of like Jimmy Carter (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/31/opinion/sunday/dowd-tempest-in-a-tea-party.html). Others now comprehend he’s remote and cold (http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/mr-cool-turns-cold/2011/08/08/gIQAoZlI3I_story.html). Still others recognize (http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-most-powerful-man-on-earth/2011/08/08/gIQA49w72I_story.html) he is weak and ineffectual (“strangely powerless, and irresolute, as larger forces bring down the country and his presidency”).

It’s not strange at all. Conservatives have been saying the same thing for several years (ever since the 2008 campaign got underway). We noticed his contempt for his fellow citizens who “cling to guns and religion (http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2010/01/25/a-world-of-difference/).” We noticed when his response to the Fort Hood massacre was oddly disengaged (http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2009/12/29/obamas-missed-moment/). Even the death of his political patron didn’t evoke any real emotion (http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/funerals-teach-us-much-about-our-presidents/).

And what is more, conservatives have noticed that despite his Ivy League degrees he’s not truly an intellectual (http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2010/08/19/the-perils-of-praise/) and lacks smarts (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/post/is-obama-too-smart-for-his-own-good/2011/03/29/AFMIuOuE_blog.html) in some key areas. And his understanding (http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2009/07/13/obama-flunks-history-again/) of history is, well, Bachmann-esque. In other words (http://badrachel.blogspot.com/search?q=obama+harvard), “the perhaps somewhat exaggerated acclamation he received during his Harvard and Chicago years taught him to harbor a peevish faith in the superiority of his own intelligence.” Conservatives weren’t even taken in by the neatly pressed pants (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/post/david-brooks-charmed-by-obamas-non-performance/2011/03/04/ABvSEjW_blog.html)or his prowess in philosophy.

The idea of Obama is proving much more satisfying to the left than the reality of Obama, in part because he lacks the competency and strength to advance the left’s agenda. What good is he if he’s going to wimp out and deliver embarrassing denials of responsibility?
