What Happened to Obama? Absolutely Nothing.
He is still the same anti-American leftist he was before becoming our president.

By NORMAN PODHORETZ (http://online.wsj.com/search/term.html?KEYWORDS=NORMAN+PODHORETZ&bylinesearch=true) ...
Here, for example, from the Washington Post, is Richard Cohen: "He is the very personification of cognitive dissonance—the gap between what we (especially liberals) expected of the first serious African American presidential candidate and the man he in fact is." More amazingly yet Mr. Cohen goes on to say of Mr. Obama, who not long ago was almost universally hailed as the greatest orator since Pericles, that he lacks even "the rhetorical qualities of the old-time black politicians." And to compound the amazement, Mr. Cohen tells us that he cannot even "recall a soaring passage from a speech."

Overseas it is the same refrain. Everywhere in the world, we read in Germany's Der Spiegel, not only are the hopes ignited by Mr. Obama being dashed, but his "weakness is a problem for the entire global economy."

In short, the spell that Mr. Obama once cast—a spell so powerful that instead of ridiculing him when he boasted that he would cause "the oceans to stop rising and the planet to heal," all of liberaldom fell into a delirious swoon—has now been broken by its traumatic realization that he is neither the "god" Newsweek in all seriousness declared him to be nor even a messianic deliverer. ...

And one of the bright ideas Obama has to spur economic growth and put people back to work is to extend unemployment benefits

So what if some people already have 99 WEEKS of unemployment - they have to be extended

Yes, in Obama's world so what if he had a trillion dollar stimulus to put people back to work. It did not work so more unemployment benefits will

But don't question his plan - or else

The Obama administration’s chief dogwasher Jay Carney must have had a burr under his saddle during yesterday’s White House press briefing. You see, among one of Obama’s stale, rehashed, and unimaginative ideas to save our economy is to extend <NOBR>unemployment insurance (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#)</NOBR>. This is right up there with his idea to reform patent laws. The junta claims that extending unemployment insurance will create a million jobs.

Considering this claim, yesterday a reporter from the Wall Street Journal asks Jay Carney the following question (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/08/10/carney_unemployment_benefits_could_create_up_to_1_ million_jobs.html): "I understand why extending unemployment insurance provides relief to people who need it, but how does that create jobs?”

The response from Jay Carney (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/08/10/carney_unemployment_benefits_could_create_up_to_1_ million_jobs.html): "Oh, uh, it is by, uh, I would expect a reporter from the Wall Street Journal would know this as part of the entrance exam."

Wow, now there’s an intelligent response. No wonder he got that gig! Then Carney goes on to explain the concept of unemployment insurance as it relates to the economy at about a 3rd grade level of understanding. That was a patronizing performance that did nothing to enhance his relationship with the media. Look for the road to become rockier for Carney.

The fact is that unemployment insurance is no way save our economy because it does absolutely very little to grow the size of our economic pie. All it does is redistribute wealth from people who earned it (and would have spent it how they saw fit) to people who didn’t earn it (and will spend it how they see fit). This money was already there .. nothing new. It just gets seized and redistributed. The junta claims that this will create 1 million jobs? If this were truly the case, then the more Americans we could put on the unemployment dole, the more jobs we could create!

The Democrats have been using this line for years. Over a year ago, in July of 2010, Nancy Pelosi claimed (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/07/01/pelosi-unemployment-checks-best-way-create-jobs/) that unemployment insurance “creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name.” Gawd … what a ditz.

Look around … how does that seem to be <NOBR>working out (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#)</NOBR> for us?

When the economy is failing, it trumps all other issues combined. Obama is toast. He simply doesnt have enough time to get it going. The good thing for us, is that the Incumbent Pres will always win his parties nomination.
