Looks like the attacks on Romney for his faith are beginning.

The real question is are Americans going to put up with this?

The first two links ares all about one kook pastor, this guy:

"Keller was a businessman convicted of insider trading in 1989, a crime for which he served more than two years in federal prison."

OReilly's interview about it. I'm actually respecting O'Reilly now.

I ceratinly understand with, and agree with, Bill Keller's point that LDS theology is incompatible with orthodox Christianity. However, from a political standpoint, I thought O'Reily was right on.

Ya know.. I hear critisizms about O'Reilly all the time, but I've been watching his show for quite a while now and have yet to hear many things I disagree with him on - I feel he's mainly rather balanced..

Not to spin this into a debate about varrying beliefs, but LDS is not totally incompatible with one getting into Heaven - even if being highly misguided on certain issues...

John 3;16
For God so love the world that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM will not perish but have everlasting life.

It doesn't say "whoever attends the right church" or "believes in a certain theology"....

I think folks will be highly surprised who they see there and who they don't :)

Probably a topic for another thread. :)

I love when an evangelist comes out and callse every other religion in the book either a cult or a false-religion...

anyway I completely agree with O'reilly and on the subject of him not being so bad, I actually like him most of the time...

the only problem I have with this is a lot of the people giving keller crap are hypocrits because they wouldn't in a million years vote for an atheist... faith to the point where you think anyone elses beliefs makes then like satan is ridiculous.

I shit thee not. At my family gathering this weekend, I was shocked at the folks who put down Mitt for his religion. Don't want to get "The Sage" going here, but most were jjjj, ja, ja, jaaaa, eeeewish. Just don't tell him, he might burst a vein.

As soon as I started to come to Mitt's defense, not him personally, just the religion thing, they got real upset, voices rose to a crescendo, and I put it to a stop.

Makes me sick

It's not disagreement that bugs me its the attitude and i am skeptical of his sincerity sometimes.

One would think that Jews, of all people, would know better than to discriminate based on religion. :(

You know, i dont think this is the necessarily the same America it was back when the Constitution was established. I think people were more open to all religions. But I think nowaday there are alot of forcing trying to divide us anyway they can including religiously.

I still think there are alot of Good americans that arent as concerned. But I do sense a shift.
