So I got a new iphone today. Looks shiny. Was really excited to use it, too bad my computers (both high- end Apples, 4 and 8yrs old, both running strong) aren't compatible with new itunes, which is required to initialize the phone. Which is disappointing enough, but when I tried to return the phone to verizon, they told me they don't return apple products. This, when tied to the fact I had to re-up my contract, means I A) keep living with the same blackberry, which by the way, wouldn't look out of place in a warzone; B)try selling my iphone on ebay and fork out retail for another phone; or C) upgrade existing operating system or buy a new computer. Seems to me buying a smart phone wouldn't leave me feeling as though I've done something stupid.

They don't play ogg files!! How can they not play ogg files? They're better than MP3s and so a big part of my music collection is as ogg files. No iPhone for me then.

10.4.x, therein lies the prob i realize. I'm just sick of getting bent over the barrel by apple. I've owned 8 apple comps since 1988, Steve Jobs has now gone rogue after having been gates' hand puppet. Some call it progress, I call it digital leverage.
