I too have an old fordwith a bench seat ('91 F-250), 84,000 miles, still haven't broke it in ;)

I can tell you from experience in other cars though-- cruise control is a must have.

Highschool boyfriend had 56 Ford and we lived way, way out in the country and there were a lot of country roads on the way home from everywhere ....amazing how flexible we were back then....

and for those of you who think you just need a bench seat????.....his next car was a Fiat and it was just more complicated but not impossible.
