MY daughter just picked up this kitty a few weeks ago. She brought it home this weekend for a vet checkup. It loves Mr. P!

Bad news though. This morning she fell about 10 feet to the hardwood floor below. I think she landed on her side not her feet. She's a tiny thing yet. Right to the vet she went. 1 1/2 hrs later, my daughter came home and I ask her about the kitty. Through tears she said, she has leukemia. Not good of course.. Then about 15 mins later the kitty started sneezing blood from its nose..back to the vet for observation, probably a result of the earlier fall.

I've had 4 crappy days in a row now. Geezzzzz

So now it has leukemia and internal injuries from a fall. I'd put it down and get a new one. No point in paying high vet bills for a kitten. It's still early enough that you haven't invested too much time and emotion in it. :dunno:

Damn it, it's hard to read stuff like that, especially about little kitties. I have a soft spot for cats.

The only good thing about this, and it really isn't "good," is that you didn't have her for years. It was just a short time. But hey, I know all to well how attached you can get in a very short time.

Sorry to hear this Mr. P.

I know. A shame, but I feel that's probably what should be done. The leukemia will probably kill her soon anyway.

I'd give her a chance to fight for her life. Cats are miraculous healers. "Nine lives." I'd only put her down if the vet thought that she was sure to die.

No-kill animal shelters regualrly advertise adult cats with feline leukemia for adoption. But I believe it is contagious, so you couldn't have any other healthy cats live with her.

Very contagious, Abbey. Which is why the other two are also at the vet for shots. They are inside cats and clear when they were babies, but the yearly shot was not current. Damn!

She'll get her chance, Pale..My daughter won't jump on putting her down yet I'm sure..It 100% something she will have to decided in the end.
