This is too funny. How the hell did Obama go on with his speech without his crutch and security blanket?

NBC12 has uncovered one of those stories that makes you think: "How in the world does that happen?!" A truck filled with President Obama's podiums and audio equipment was stolen in Henrico just days before his visit to Chesterfield.
We confirmed an investigation with the U.S. Defense Department. There are still a lot of questions. The biggest one being did the thieves intentionally target the President's truck or did they take advantage of a crime of opportunity and give a big "uh-oh" when they saw what was inside.

When you see President Obama speak, there is a pretty typical setup including the presidential seal on a podium, the see-thru Teleprompter and a portable sound system.
Thieves saw the truck carrying that equipment and couldn't resist the target.

We're told the truck was parked at the Virginia Center Commons Courtyard Marriott in advance on Wednesday's presidential visit to Chesterfield.

Sources said inside that vehicle was about $200,000 worth of sound equipment, several podiums and presidential seals, behind which only the President himself can stand.

Have they been charged with kidnapping the President?

Have they been charged with kidnapping the President?

No, but I heard they also made off with all those shovels in the van needed to clean up after Obama is done speaking

That's actually pretty scary to think about. It's incredibly difficult to do direct harm to the President but it doesn't look all that difficult to get to the equipment surrounding him and rig it to do harm. As crazy as it sounds, I'd feel better if these thieves were high grade enemies of the U.S. testing our security weaknesses rather than common street urchins.

Well, not exactly. All that stuff is screened MULTIPLE times after it's set up before the POTUS is allowed near it.

I am surprised Gabby did not poost how Bush stole it

Why would Obama need his teleprompter? Given all the speeches he has made over the last month, the only thing he says is "Pass my bill"
