Apparently, as controlling as I've been accused of being, I don't seem to be in control of much.

Did y'all know my woman had the audacity to get her ears pierced without her estranged idiot's permission? Unfortunately, I neglected to throw the appropriate hissy fit.

Am I missing something, or what?

I shared the good one with you.

If you had bought me a new, spiffy toaster that wouldn't happen. Therefore, it's your fault. Of course. 2628

Can you even get a bagel in a spiffy new toaster?

Okay. Then ... I'm in charge. From now on. Okay?

Jess

Absolutely. They make toasters with wider opening specifically for the bagel issue. Where have you been?

Using the broiler.

Using the broiler.

Too much work. Always go for the cheaper, more efficient, simplistic approach.

But I know you like your fancy, uppity ways.

The broiler?

Think you got your fancy-ass toaster-ma-bob confused with simple.

It doesn't have to pre-heat, done in just a minute or so ... how is that fancy again?

You ad to go buy it (or get 3-4 as wedding gifts) and it is extraneous to the stove. = fancy, extraneous equipment

Sure, Gunny.

Uh huh. You'll let me say that just cuz you can then blame everything that goes wrong on me.

I didn't buy it or get it as a present. I inherited it.

Of course, I didn't buy the stove either or get it as a present. Darcilious didn't have room in her mansion for the stove. ;)

How do you inherit a toaster, woman?

Gunny

Lots of stuffed turkey's around here that seem to have the string between their heads and asses wound too tight.

Me neither.

It's a piece of junk that only kind of works. The toaster isn't much better.

Gunny arguing that a toaster is uppity LOL better not come to my house . The little Messican girl liker her bagels toasted in the toaster oven and her cappuccino to be served at exactly 165 degrees from the cappuccinoc machine.

And I'm expected to have them on the table at 7:05 sharp! :laugh2:

I got one of those. Very good for bagels, only gets the cut side, so the other side stays soft. Also the openings are wide enough for homemade bread, sliced thick. ;) Since I bake most of my bread, good buy!

I'm a lover of kitchen gadgets. If there is one made that I don't own, it's only because I haven't seen one before.

Okay...how about a soda stream? I found one on sale last year after christmas at Sears...really cheap($30.00),but I put it back thinking I would never use it. I still wonder if I would have liked it though.

I also have an expreso machine (the only thing the EX wanted/asked for as a wedding gift from family when we got married). I never use it...but made sure I took it when I left Calif...was that mean??

I had a toaster oven in college, 1973. Graduated in '77. Where have you been?
