YIPPEEE! That is good news! Right up until the budget cuts hit and those nasty defense contractors finally lay off those good for nothing, war mongering, baby killing engineers and technicians supporting the fat cat corporate CEOs who contribute nothing to the economy and this nation. I can't wait for that to happen!

Unemployment is not at its lowest point in three years. The unemployment percentage rate may be but there are fewer people working now than when President Obama took office.

Of course! And they better not file for unemployment or welfare either! Let them take jobs at Burger King.

If they need the help, go for it just like anyone else, just don't make a lifestyle out of it.

Either way this is good news for Obama in an election year. If it gets better, and I think it will, it's going to make it rough for the Republican candidate to challenge Obama on jobs policy.

Thanks for that Nukeman. That's a point I like to make when I can. Everyone seems to overlook teen unemployment which has been bad even during good economic times. I have a pretty good idea why but that is another topic.

That is a very good point. I think it has a lot to do with adults taking lower paying jobs that normally have been filled with kids and those with minimal education. I have seen a marked increase in adults working at restaurants and grocery stores.

Eh we have a record number of people on both during this Obama "recovery". And one month when the liberal media gushed how 100,000 jobs were "creadted" thanks to Obama's economic policies - McDonalds was the sole source of over 50,000 of those jobs

Of course not a single Dem or liberal media "reporter" looked down on those "burger flipper" jobs as they were called dring the Bush years

It is amazing how liberals like you have so lowered expectatons that a 8.5% rate is now godd news. Millions unemployed is OK.

However, during the Bush years when unemployment was around 6% we were headed towards another Great Depression

While gas and food prices are rising, incomes are shrinking, government spending and deficits are growing - we are told things are getting better and Obama's polices are finally working

Gabby it is clear for all to see Bush's recession was alot better then the Obama "recovery"

Oh and did you take note Gabby of the 50,000 plus TEMP jobs in this report? Or am I just nit picking again?
