Actually, that's what heated connected garages with a 4X4 inside them are for. We rarely get enough snow that shoveling it is a problem. Most of the time we can just drive right over whatever is there.

4x4 w/o winter/snow tires = barely above useless when it comes to turning and stopping. 2wd vehicle with 4 snow/winter tires = better capability in snow than 4x4 w/o such tires. :)
