I almost stuck this in the humor section...Sorry guy's..but if you really want to make a go of it..in talk radio....don't have the screaming, lunatic banshee.......Randy Rhoades....:poke:

NEW YORK (AP) -- Air America today announced a high-profile lineup of presidential candidates, political players and celebrities for next week as part of the liberal talk network's "relaunch.''

Democratic candidates Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards, along with notables like Robert Redford, Paul Newman and Gloria Steinem, are among the more than 30 guests scheduled.(ah yes....there's some REAL political minds)...:laugh2:

New shows are also being added to the schedule, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Arianna Huffington and Bob Kerrey.:poke: The network also redesigned its Web site, where hosts will regularly blog along with a newly-hired blogger.

Republican Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the subject of persistent presidential speculation, was scheduled to tape his interview today, facing questions from a former political foe, Mark Green.

Green, who lost to Bloomberg on his first run for City Hall in 2001, is now running Air America with his brother, Stephen Green. They took it over this year in an attempt to revive the network, which had been losing money.

Air America is broadcast on 64 stations nationwide and on XM satellite.

Airhead America trying to re-launch itself, reminds me of the scene in the farce "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" where the Black Knight tries to fight King Arthur. Arthur keeps chopping off piece after piece of the Black Knight, and the BK keeps fighting, screaming how Arthur is bound to lose, is a coward, etc. Finally there is nothing left of him but a head and limbless torso bobbing on the ground. It looks down at itself, then looks up at Arthur and says, "All right, we'll call it a draw."

Some people don't know when they've lost, and when they don't, it's a real hoot watching them bobbing helplessly on the ground, shouting denials.

Instead of a ribbon-cutting, the should have a "Bankruptcy papers" cutting. And they should definitely have it in front of those Bronx youth centers they ripped off.

Huh?

...But now Air America finds itself fielding questions not only about its ratings but about its connection to a Bronx-based children's charity known as the Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club. In early July, a little-noticed local online journal, the Gotham Gazette, reported that New York City's Department of Investigation (DOI) was looking into the diversion of "hundreds of thousands of dollars" from the Gloria Wise club to Air America. The first figure was around $450,000, but it now appears that $875,000 was transferred from the taxpayer-and-contribution-supported Gloria Wise club to the struggling radio network.

It apparently happened during Air America's chaotic first few weeks of existence, when it was financed by an investor named Evan Cohen, who gained control of the network by saying he would invest enough money to keep Air America going for at least three years — when in fact he barely had enough to keep it going more than a few weeks. That became abundantly clear when, in Air America's second month of existence, its payroll checks bounced. Cohen had a connection to Gloria Wise and somehow convinced the charity to give Air America a desperately needed cash infusion. (The club's top officer has since left, and the club is now under investigation.)
