This must be a mistaken report. There is a law that makes bringing a gun to this school illegal. So nobody could have done it.

These laws work. Why else would the government keep making more and more of them?

Suspect in custody after 1 student killed, 4 wounded in shooting at Ohio high school

URGENT: One student was killed and five were wounded during a shooting early Monday at an Ohio high school, authorities said. A suspect, whose name has not been released, is in police custody.

Civil deputy Erin Knife with the Geauga County Sheriff's Office said the shooting was reported around 7:30 a.m. Monday at Chardon High School.

The suspected gunman, believed to be a student, fled the school on foot and was later apprehended after turning himself in. Authorities have not released the juvenile's name because he has not been charged yet.

Law enforcement officials said earlier that three of the shooting victims are in critical condition, while one victim is in stable condition. The victims have not yet been identified.

The situation is under control and an FBI SWAT team is on the scene, police said.

A parent waiting outside the school told the station that her daughter sent her a text message, saying the shooting took place inside the cafeteria.

Oh not again.

The only reasonable explanation is that it is George Bush's fault.

Or, maybe it's the fault of the homophobes...

ETA: I feel very sad for these families.

Well, I feel for those victims BUT it is apparent that one of those evil guns just jumped out of the closet all by itself and went on a shooting spree. Obvioously it possessed the poor kid weilding it and forced him to go to the school and start firing. I say we burn the gun at the stake.

Must be. Damn the manufacturers of those evil weapons that, on their own, do such things.

We need more laws.

For the children.

I was just reading some more of this story. It's a shame that these kids lost their lives. I hope they don't start with this crap about how the shooter was a victim too. Not long after Columbine it started for the shooters there, although they killed themselves. But websites and blogs were setup to defend them, that they were victims who didn't know what they were doing and all this other crap.

They were murderers who got off easy is all. And this kid who pulled this shit is the same, but hopefully this one can rot in jail for about 70-80yrs to think about it.

If it was bullying that made him do it, just think of what he will look forward to in jail.
Kinda ironic, no?

It's a big leap from getting hit in the head with french fries to getting molested by Bubba in the slammer.

Better than be caught without one when some idiot who DOES have one comes unhinged.

Of course. If every kid at the school had a gun, nothing would have happened.
Or perhaps we could have had a Wild West shoot out.
