There has been talk about the fact that Ron Paul hasnt been attacking Mitt Romney in the debates and speculation over why.
Im wondering if Ron Paul was considering a Libertarian run when he doesnt get the nomination, it may be that he wants Romney as the GOP candidate so he can better contrast himself with him. There is no doubt that Romney has had some issues connecting with conservative voters.
Any thoughts?

He didn't have the money to last very long in 2008. Apparently his supporters are long on rhetoric but tight with the cash.
Romney may have issues with some conservative voters, but it doesn't appear that Santorum has many. But then, Santorum IS a conservative. Romney's a RINO.

I've been expecting Paul to switch over to third party all along. The Republican debates have given him waaay more exposure than he would have ever had as a third party candidate. Now he can go back to being the Libertarian he really is, and be the spoiler who gets Obama re-eclected.

A glutton for punishment, perhaps? LOL The ONLY thing that could possibly be accomplished by a 3rd party run for the kook would be to take votes away from other candidates, so that maybe he can reach the 13% threshold!

he's just been wining in Texas as a Republican congressmen for what 15 yrs, he'll switch libertarian any minute now, c'mon Abby.
Funny that many Republicans feel more comfortable with a RHINO than an old school Barry Goldwater conservative don't you think?
Don't blame Paul if Romney or Santorum can't get the voters out to beat Obama. I predict a lot of folks will just stay home. dems don't love Obama anymore and your go along Republicans don't love Romney Santorum or Gingrich and Only Paul has people who really love him as a candidate, but the neoCons have clouded most R's thinking so that they believe war IS Republican so Paul seems like a Chimera.
So your left with people going to the poles just to vote against the other "party" thinking that's going to make a difference. which it aint.
More big gov't D&Rs more gov't control. ds&rs will fuss about the details of how much more and where for 4 years rather than stop the bleeding.
blame Ron Paul though if that makes you feel better.

ANd the nation, as per their voting. They don't want a ron paul in office. Well, 11 and some odd percent do.

Hey, according to the LEFT, the 10% should run this country. Otherwise, you are correct. He represents no one. He represents a bunch of inbred, hillbilly farmers. Family trees have no branches.

WHO said anything about Romney? You're just mad that people are pointing out facts about your obsession. Yes, he DOES have supporters, but certainly not a lot of them, and certainly not enough to ever think about the Presidency. He's dead in the water, like I said before the first primary. Add all your smileys to that!

11.5%
That's pathetic of your man, Rev. Read that again - 11.5% - and you're delusional enough to call him a "great strategist". 11.5% Personally, I call it dismal, and a failed effort. But laugh away at your candidate.

Him and his 40% probably are laughing at RP and his dismal last place showing. And I'd bet he'd turn purple laughing if he read someone stating that RP was a great strategist!

No, you have to get your libertarians stright ....
Ron Paul is a "right wing" libertarian
Dennis Kucinich is a "left wing" libertarian"
Neither accomplish anything but voter theft. They appeal to people who shouldn't be allowed to vote to begin with. The kind that can't see the big picture. They're too wrapped up in their own unrealistic idealism.
