...oh no, wait, he didn't, he actually said this

"So Miss Fluke, and the rest of you Feminazis, here's the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex. We want something for it. We want you post the videos online so we can all watch."

Well there's an upstanding gentleman if ever there were.

Why should he apologize?

Because if you disagree with someone, you shouldn't use offensive slurs, you should engage them to the best of your intelligence, without resorting to personal attacks.

Anyone who does use such slurs would hopefully be gentlemanly enough to apologise. Just, ya know, common sense and respect.

She's a whore for the big government left then?

Fluke came to Georgetown University interested in contraceptive coverage: She researched the Jesuit college’s health plans for students before enrolling, and found that birth control was not included. “I decided I was absolutely not willing to compromise the quality of my education in exchange for my health care,” says Fluke, who has spent the past three years lobbying the administration to change its policy on the issue. The issue got the university president’s office last spring, where Georgetown declined to change its policy.

That probably doesn't fit either. I'm open to any definition that fits her mission to force institutions, especially Catholic ones it would seem, to bend their policies to match her worldview.

You state your opinion as if it were a fact.

Fact: Homosexuality is no longer listed as a mental health disorder. It is no longer considered "abberant" behavior.

Fact: Increasing numbers of countries and states are approving marriage equality and recognizing how little sexual behavior has to do with citizens rights.

Fact: Homosexuality occurs in nature.

Incorrect. Homosexuality among Man is aberrant. Period.

The difference being that even animals who behave in what you define as homosexual nature, have no means to reason. They just do what feels good. There is nothing homosexual about it. They can't think. True homosexual animals just die. They cannot procreate and are therefore pointless to the species.

Man, on the other had, has the ability to reason. So it doesn't just mindlessly "feel good". It's a conscious act to behave in a manner aberrant to biological nature.

Show me the definition of homosexuality and you will see it doesn't include abberance in nature.

That makes NO sense whatsoever. But here, I'll gladly help you!!

Abhorrent

causing repugnance; detestable; loathsome: an abhorrent deed.

2. utterly opposed, or contrary, or in conflict (usually followed by to ): abhorrent to reason (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/reason).
shocking, abominable.

MANY find queers to be repugnant and detestable. It's opposed by the majority. Non stop conflict, and contrary to the norm.

Deviant

deviating (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/deviate) or departing from the norm; characterized by deviation (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/deviation): deviant social behavior.
a person or thing that deviates (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/deviate) or departs markedly from the accepted norm.

FAR from the norm. I would say it's MORE than markedly from the accepted norm.

Abnormal

not normal, average, typical, or usual; deviating from a standard: abnormal powers of concentration; an abnormal amount of snow; abnormal behavior.

2. extremely or excessively large: abnormal profit.

It's not normal, nor typical, or usual. WAY apart from standard.

Whether you like it or not, being a queer fits into every one of these definitions. Sure, normal people can fit into these definitions at times too, if they choose to engage in such behavior. But queers, they live the life of these definitions. Deny it all you like. It's pretty dumb to run from who you are. Embrace your inner self and embrace your difference from the normal!

Why should the government mandate that BC be covered? Why should everyone have their premiums raised so that few can benefit?

I don't understand why Limbaugh (or any media personality) feels a need to apologize for any statement they make. Obviously, it is done to retain sponsors and appease the thought police.
At the same time, it is protected free speech. Rush wasn't threatening anyone. He was merely being an asshole, which he is quite often. But what he said was tame compared to pretty much any of the multitude of "shock jocks" trying to be Howard Stern.

I don't understand why Limbaugh (or any media personality) feels a need to apologize for any statement they make. Obviously, it is done to retain sponsors and appease the thought police.
At the same time, it is protected free speech. Rush wasn't threatening anyone. He was merely being an a**hole, which he is quite often. But what he said was tame compared to pretty much any of the multitude of "shock jocks" trying to be Howard Stern.
Limbaugh (and many others) troll us each day, looking to make news. Because any publicity is good publicity.

You do understand this cuts across ideology, right? Hard core righty venues help sell stuff to righies and hard core lefty venues help sell stuff to lefties. Lefty venues are needed: Bail bondsmen, liquor stores, head shops, Miss Cleo, check cashing stores, etc. need a place to sell their wares.

Like it or not, norms change. Homosexuality was once considered deviant, abnormal, even a mental illness, but no longer.

I have completely embraced my inner self and I love who I am regardless of what you think.

Like it or not, we live in a republic, and one that embraces diversity.

I have no problem with you embracing yourself, but those definitions fit whether you like it or not. Yes, norms change, but queers aren't even remotely close to being the norm. Not even close.

Love that line there, "compromise my health care". Since when it a colleges job to police your morality and sexual promiscuity?

Birth controll pills are given out for free at Planned Parenthood, as are condoms. Maybe she needs to take some responsiblity and buy her own rubbers or $40 a month for the pill.

No, there are riders for additional coverages if desired. You shouldn't have to, insurance rates should be dependent on your likelihood of contracting the ailment and requiring treatment. Men's and women's life insurance rates are different because they have different mortality rates and life expectancies.

All of that sidesteps that health insurance in this country no longer resembles anything like insurance; it's a health care payment plan.

I would ask you, how many gay or lesbian people do you actually know well?

Fact........the APA took it off the list in the early 70's not because they thought that it wasn't a disorder they took it off becaise of big financial and political pressure.

Fact..............if the people are allowed to vote on the issue you are 0-29, nobody is for queer marriage minus a few lib judges.

Fact........homosexuality in nature occurs solely as a power move amongst apes and gorillas, want to equate yourself with that group?

Homosexuality is not abberant behaviour, by mere fact it is practised. Saying it is abberant doesn't prove anything. Nature by definition can never make a mistake. Something that is can not at the same time not be.

The term is "abhorrent", and ALL queers fit in there based on their behavior. Same as abnormal and deviant. You know what? Hetero's who have anal sex are involved in abnormal, deviant behavior too! They just don't base their entire life on the deviancy.

So let me help you - it's "abhorrent". It's "behavior". It's "practiced".

When you learn how to spell, then you can begin to even think of being in the same league as me. I'd challenge you to a one on one debate that we offer here, but we know you libtards like to talk the talk and then disappear when time to back it up. Hell, I'll even debate you now how YOUR lifestyles fits into the 3 definitions of abhorrent, deviant & abnormal. I'll beat you at your own lifestyle. LOL

Because people can't pay for damn school and their healthcare themselves! How dare you think someone should pay for their own college tuition and/or their responsibilities while being sexual active. That's GOT to be someone else's responsibility, they're too busy learning to pay for things.

You said the pill was a medical prescription, so therefore should be covered by insurance.

Imagine a patient going to a doctor and finds out his heart is failing. The ONLY way to live beyone about a year is with a heart transplant. THAT's the doctors "prescription". Only thing is, insurance doesn't cover such procedures. What should this patient do?
Well, most insurance has some sort of procedure for challenging a denied claim. They don't just say-- no-- and that's the end of it. I'm guessing the reason a heart transplant is denied is because the price of such a procedure. Perhaps there is additional consideration, such as overall health, quality of life, chances of survival, age and other perhaps other persons in greater need. I've yet to hear BC being denied insurance coverage based on the price involved, or any other objective reasoning-- probably because the opposite is true-- its just a means of subjecting others to your own sense of morality-- and that by consenting, i give up my right to object. And quite frankly jim, youre right, its a contract. But our society has a contract too; and th employer is bound to that. Yet here they are objecting--

And as individuals, I think we also have a contract with society, and to ourselves, to adopt personal responsibility and mitigate the circumstances. There are different companies, different employers, different costs, different medicines - and yet the demand is that ALL companies do it, ALL insurance carry it, ALL employees offer it. Why can't the individual decide what's best for them and figure out how to attain it, or go without it, instead of sticking out their hands and not only demanding who gives it to them, but that they do so for free?

I wonder how our country possibly survived for so long when this issue is pretty new, as insurance never covered before. I wonder - just what did the men and women do all these many years? Marriage law is a civil concern. It is a civil rights issue. There are 1,049 federal rights, protections and benefits provided with legal marriage.

damn you're stupid.

Simple solution, get rid of the state license. Guess what, you nor anyone else has a right to one.

Then the state is FORCED to accept all religious marriages as being equal and you have a legitimate gripe if they claim yours isn't as valid. But as long as you let the STATE control something, then they get to define it.

no it isn't . See you're not even fighting the right fight. Marriage is NONE of the government's business. It's not a civil right's issue, it's a religious issue. If you'd fight THAT fight , not only would you win, even the most conservative person would have to concede.

Really?

Romans 1:24-27 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+1%3A26-27&version=ESV) ESV
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Men are selfish. They take very little responsibility for contraception. IMO, they should equally pay for contraception. It's appropriate for insurance to cover this.

Sounds like a comment a woman who hates men would make. I have never met a man that was not willing to take responsibility for contraception when the subject comes up. Talk about a huge leap on your part.

Did you know that the health offices in college give out free condoms? When I was in college they even had the fun fashion colors.

That's what I'm saying Abbey. You have the absolute religeous right to not accept gay marriage as being equal. Your church should NEVER be forced to perform them.

By the same token, well some gay church ought be able to if they wish.

I couldn't care less what any church but my own says about marriage. I really couldn't.

On a re-read, I don't think he meant you would win with Christians anyway. He meant with the courts, most likely. Mea culpa.

Exactly right Abbey. I don't expect she would EVER convince Christians that her marriage is equal to ours. If that is her goal, well it's a stupid goal. She could however convince you that her religion has as much right to define marriage as they see fit just as yours does. No?

Wrong. Civil union is a civil issue. Usurping the term "marriage", KNOWING what it means, is a religious issue. THAT is the whole point. Shoving your crap down everyone else's throats. Marriage is a contract between a man and woman in the eyes of God, and ain't NOTHING going to make that right for YOU.

Now we're getting somewhere here Jimmy.:thumb:

College, then law school, toots. (Love that word, btw)

My bad, I never expected my school to give me insurance. They aren't my employer or my parents.
Not only do i not expect my school to give me insurance, I prefer them not to-- I go to school to learn.
Likewise, I go to work to, (you guessed it), work, and in return, get paid-- not with insurance, but legal tender. Seems to be a pretty simple concept.

If you study history, you will see that when you insure something, it goes up in price. If you want cheap, available contraceptives, push for them to be sold at your local 7-11 next to the anti-hangover vitamins for the price of a candy bar.

For you people "lighting your hair on fire" with hyperbole, you don't draw people to your point of view.

Sour grapes for you. Sorry.

Can you prove that you were born queer?

Whiptail lizards, (Cnemidophorus neomexicanus) found in the American southwest, are all females. They reproduce by parthenogenesis. Unfertilized eggs develop, producing an exact clone of its mother. Even though no males exist, the females still exhibit sexual mating behavior. Those that attract a lesbian partner have been found to produce more and healthier eggs.

You can just consider me a "whiptail lizard" that beat the pants off you in this debate.

Homosexuality is not abberant behaviour, by mere fact it is practised. Saying it is abberant doesn't prove anything. Nature by definition can never make a mistake. Something that is can not at the same time not be.

Can you please identify the queer "gene" found in humans? If you can please notify leading scientists and let them know about your discovery that nobody else on earth knows about.
