There are other ways of adding attitude, that's a disgusting habit and looks trashy when you see people smoking.

Nah.. in the confines of war - it's totally plausable... :)

Smoking isn't a habit... I, on occasion, smoke cigars..... not a habit nor would I ever have to smoke one again....

Just nice every once in a GREAT while...

So - the 5 year old can pound back a brew - but the fake cig is 'over the line'? :)

Nothing wrong with either smoking or drinking... if done in the right way, without addiction. :)

Yup. A lot of parents give their kids beer or wine.

Egads.. I can't believe this thread managed to get so far out of whack..

The kids *holding* a beer - not consuming it.

The cig was photoshopped in - not put in the kids mouth.

Sheesh, people.

Find a sense of humor.

The beer wasn't really there, either. :D

FWIW, on another forum, a guy asked:

"Is this your response to Jihad-Mouse?" :D

I could tell they were photo shopped in. The cig was more evident, but I kind of have a trained eye. I like to mess around with photo shop myself. Then looking close at the beer, I could see that was added too. But really, you think Darin is going to put a lit cigarette in his son's mouth, and an open bottle of beer in his hand, ON A MILITARY INSTALATION?

Get real. Not only is Darin a better dad than that, he couldn't get away with pulling a trick like that in front of people on a base. I can see D having some fun with the pic. I can hear him saying, "ok son... LOOK MEAN." And then coming home and doctoring the pic.

The cig was easy to spot, because of the red on the tip.. The beer not so easy.. But I don't mess around with photos either - I just post what gets taken, and that's that.. Alot of times, I just luck out and manage to get a decent pic. :D

For fun, you could do a left wing nut version of the photoshopping.
Put a condom and a copy of the book "Heather Has Two Mommies" in his hands, and some weed in his mouth.
