More thuggish behavior

When playing soccer, sometimes penalties are handed out for tripping, hand ball and incidental contacts. In this video, a young player is accidentally tripped by another. In behavior usually reserved for street corner thugs, she gets up and proceeds to beat the crap out of her opponent. She is now being investigated by law enforcement. I hope they file assault charges against her. This was in South Carolina.

Unfortunately, this happens more often than you might think. In Northern California, a basketball kid who made a steal and a winning basket was attacked by a parent from the opposing team. In Texas, the coach of a team that pulled an upset win was attacked by opposing fans.
You can numerous videos from youtube and liveleak where disturbances have broken out at kids game. It's primarily parents who take kids games too seriously.

I lived in the South for a number of years. The "system" won't pass up this chance to collect a few grand. It looks like a misdemeanor case if there were no serious injuries. My bet is she will get probation and get hit with some fees. The victim will likely get restitution if she required medical treatment.

And most importantly, I hope she gets tossed and banned from the team and any further activities.

What's the problem? That is perfectly acceptable behavior for the first tripping incident in the history of soccer. geez...
