Whew, none in my area except WM where I do not go. Kroger and Publix are the biggies.

none in my area either except Walmart. It isn't a grocery store though. We have Safeway, Raley's, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. Those are our largest stores...and all are very expensive.

Jewel/Osco here. Was always my 'store of choice' until 5 years ago. Got dirty, long lines, pushed to get people to go to 'automatic cashiers'. Don't shop there anymore, unless I need something at 4 am, they're the closest 24 hour location.

I've never had any problems with Ralphs. The one near my home is clean, has friendly employees and is fairly well run.
Never been to any of the others.

Some nostalgia with this pic of a Weiss market. I used to stop in this exact store just for their potato salad, which was ohh so good! If you look above the store you see what was the Dixie Cup Plant which made all of the paper Dixie Cups in the world for 30 years or so. The Dixie Cup shaped water tower is still on the roof.

None of these are in my area either except Wal Mart, who does have the worst customer service experience in the history of grocery stores.

The big ones in my are are Kroger,Meijer,WM,and Bigg's was bought by Rempke. We had a Bigg's store 30 seconds from here and they were super expensive, but sooo convenient and clean, and had great employees. Rempke closed that location.

I shop at Kroger and never wait in line, plus I get fuel points. Prices aren't the best, but Wal Mart's aren't too great anymore either. Kroger is a way better shopping experience.
