Obama Fails to Stem Middle-Class Slide He Blamed on Bush
By Mike Dorning - Apr 30, 2012 7:30 PM CT

Barack Obama (http://topics.bloomberg.com/barack-obama/) campaigned four years ago assailing President George W. Bush (http://topics.bloomberg.com/george-w.-bush/) for wage losses suffered by the middle class. More than three years into Obama’s own presidency, those declines have only deepened...

As a candidate in 2008, Obama blamed the reversals largely on the policies of Bush and other Republicans. He cited census figures (http://www.cbpp.org/cms/?fa=view&id=621) showing that median income for working-age households -- those headed by someone younger than 65 -- had dropped more than $2,000 after inflation during the first seven years of Bush’s time in office.
Yet real median household income (http://topics.bloomberg.com/household-income/) in March was down $4,300 since Obama took office in January 2009 and down $2,900 since the June 2009 start of the economic recovery, according to an analysis (http://www.sentierresearch.com/reports/Sentier_Research_Household_Income_Trends_Report_Fe bruary_2012_12_03_29.pdf) of census data by Sentier Research, an economic- consulting firm in Annapolis, Maryland...

Finding it hard to defend the President?

Some Democrats have the sense to see when things are starting to go off the rails and back off. Obama has no such sense. Deval Patrick and Andrew Cuomo at least are willing to anger their base when they see a hard core lefty policy is about to tank the economy. Obama has a middle finger for you if you are not part of his base.

Bash the President.

The reason there are so few progressive liberals on this forum is because they all ran for the hills when Obama was elected. The only thing they did while here was to bash Bush and when they could no longer bash him, and actually had to defend their guy, and couldn't, they ran like the cowards that they are.

You never "fixed" anything when Bush was in office. Clinton bashing was the biggest rage on this board.
Or perhaps, in your feeble old age, you have forgotten about that.

Then why do you keep saying "Bye, I'm outta here" when things get heated?

Bash the President.

Wind Song, do you now consider talking about the results of Obama's poicies "bashing" and should not be brought up for discussion?

Here is a report card on the first 3 years of the Obama administration. (it is about 3 months old but the numbers have not changed much) Is this also considered "bashing" or would such a spot on graphic of Obama's accomplishments be more "hate speech" in your opinion?
