For those in the professional world who may be looking to network, you should consider joining LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/). Think of it as MySpace for people over 25. It works a little like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon - you make connections with people you know, and you are connected with their friends, etc. I've used it to meet up with old classmates, though not for anything professional, yet. But for freelancers or job-seekers, it looks to be a great tool.
