Today my granddaughter was promoted to high school .... she's 13. My grandson was promoted to Jr. High and he is 10. The schools they go to are advanced and by the time they complete 11th grade they are ready to graduate. 12th grade is optional and they are encouraged to intern for that year before going to college. However, they have all the necessary credits to enter college if they so choose. Jr. High school is 5-7, and High School is 8-11th.
Time is flying by so fast ... I have a granddaughter in high school .... how can that be? It seems I graduated just last week!
