I'm watching it. My stepson's aunt is married to a Hatfield. He's a multi-millionaire. I can't wait to ask if he thinks it's a pretty accurate depiction of the war between the clans.

It's actually a pretty brutal movie.

I thought it was excellent.

i really wish the mini series in general would make more of a comeback. I'm tired of the same stupid comedies and the same stupid reality shows night after night.

Of course if I had a life I wouldn't be watching tv night after night, but that's a different story. :laugh2:

yep, it seems like every other show is a reality series of some sort.

I am sick to death of of that stuff. BRING BACK THE REAL COMEDY SHOWS!!

I really enjoyed the series. Although I would be interested to know how many dramatic liberties the writers took.

A few for sure, but not that many, and none that were overly egregious. It at least made some attempt at historical accuracy.

What I thought was interesting is that both sides signed a Peace Treaty in 2003...can't remember how many descendants signed it tho.

Twould been more interesting had a Hatfield up and killed a McCoy in 2003.

I found it interesting that the feud lasted so long that a Peace Treaty was deemed necessary in 2003. Why?

The last confrontation between the two families was a 2000 dispute over access to a cemetery. It led to a court battle in which both sides claimed a partial victory in 2003.

30 years. 5 times longer than the civil war. Plain stupidity that went too far.
