That's a lot to unpack.
the 1st assumptive POV that jumps out at me in this piece is the idea that the MP was a hero for legalizing abortion etc..
Hero to the left maybe. "changing soceity for the better", I don't think so. "Politicians Used to think they could Change society", that assumes they know better, something that people accuse the right and christian right of. But if the left does it it's heroic and if the right does it it's villainous and paranoid?

As far as the other points go, each of the accusations of trouble coming from the press the gov't or experts have to be examined individually. the press has been lazy and alarmist and slow to weigh info. If we swallow everything whole from them we will not only be paranoid but kinda stupid.

And as the piece pointed out there are somethings that have been uncovered that are true. If it's real danger are you paranoid to be concerned.
