I showed this story and video to my daughter last night. If she can grow up to have compassion and integrity that this girl has, I would be more than pleased and proud.

Awesome role model, good person. As a parent, I would be very proud of her.
Hero? Sorry, not in my view.

Nope, as Charlie Sheen would say, it would make you Winning!! LOL

I think it was an awesome act, very rarely seen in sports these days, shows she has compassion, integrity and a ton of other great qualities. Continue to use these things going forward and she'll be one hell of a woman.

But not a hero. We have guys getting posthumous medals of honor for literally giving their lives for their fellow troops. We have police officers taking shots while trying to protect others. We have firemen running into burning buildings to save people. THESE people are heroes, and making people who play sports out to be heroes, IMO, lessens the word when we use it for people that truly earned the title.
