New members from old forum thread

I thought it to be better if we had a thread that could serve as a sounding board for us that have consented to join this fine forum after having decided the old forum wasnt quite right. Here we can make comments without interfering with the other threads.
I would like to thank Jimmy, admin and members here for providing a very fine forum that attends better to the needs of Liberty!
First , a big welcome to all that abandoned the old forum for whatever reason. And to those that still post there but have also chosen to join here as well.

Exactly why I started this thread, a single thread for members to post questions , concerns and comments about friends and foes from the old forum. Nobody has to read or reply here unless they want to. Really shouldnt concern any other than the members from the old forum and should keep comments out of other threads and hopefully solely here on this thread. -Tyr

Kind of interesting how familiar names keep popping up.

Isn't Dem4life a blogger (just curious)? I also know of a few other boards this poster posts on. Just an observation about MB's in general though. I know that many of the USMB posters post on multiple boards. And seems like if you find a new board...guess who is/was/or was banned from there? All the same people...some with familiar names...some with alias names. :)

I agree with Sassy though. Sick of board fights...I hope we don't see more conflicts.

I don't have a problem with it at all...Just was posting an observation about political boards in general...carry on. :)

I think that you mean well, but I must agree with Sassy. These inter-board things tend to cause hard feelings, and then spill over to other threads no matter how hard you try to contain it. My hope is that we live in the present, debate the issues of the day, and post other interesting topics as we have all along.

I won't close it for now; we'll see how things go.

Thanks for the idea but as for me, I would prefer to devote my time to this board. I still look in on the other place from time to time but find little to interest me there. I hated the sniping and the overbearing mods but not enough to waste my time here on them.

jimny. Totally agree. We new folks have no intentions of bringing down this comfortable place. Most of us have several things in common. We all know what they are. And they have no place here.

Yes, I did read and "understand" what Tyr said.

I just think it distasteful to have dinner at someone's house and sit in the other room complaining about the last house you had dinner at. Instead, sit down and enjoy the meal you are being served now....helps the digestion if one is not complaining while eating.

BTW ... when you capitalize your words are you "yelling" at me? I don't think anyone here is hard of hearing.

This is the important thing, I think, that admins/list owners WANT people to come and post. I think listowners often suffer burnout and wish everyone on their list would go shrivel up and die, and then they start saying so............

Burnout is a big deal, IMO.
