The sky being blue is an illusion, due to rayleigh scattering. Blue light is more prone to reach you because it is being absorbed by the gas in the atmosphere... then scattered because it is short wave length light. The other colors of light... yellow,red,orange...are long wavelength light and pass srtaight through without being effected by the air. :)

you ALL have a point. If you got off you partisan plantations and gabby would take off her sun glasses, you'd see the full range of colors depending on the time of day, your location, the season and the weather.
but the the FACT IS the sky is Blue on most days in most parts of the world and IS Black EVERY night usually with stars, (sometimes meteorites and some planets which are often mistaken for stars) But from time to time the sky HAS BEEN orange red purple pink golden, yellow and with the northern lights (Aurora Borealis) even green with every color inbetween.
WHICH DOES NOT NEGATE the fact that it's mostly BLUE during the day and BLACK during the night. But the other colors should NEVER be ignored or taken for granted or dismissed or disavowed or said to be blue/black when they CLEARLY are not, JUST to fit some pitiful narrow left or right wing propaganda. We'll never get anywhere if they keep dividing us on the truth here people!!!!!

And don't ask me what my favorite color is, it doesn't matter, facts are facts lets live with them and deal with reality here please.
Why won't people just be honest here sheesh Lousie!!!!

In point of fact, color does not exist. It is merely our interpretation of light waves.
The sky is usually 6.67 X 10^14 meters per second not blue

And Words do not exist either they are just interpretations of thoughts so whats your point? we have a GERENALLLLY common interpretation of colors, similar to, but more universal and basic, in a human sense, than when we share universal concepts shared with words.

Our shared universal preceptions are ONE of the basis for our shared concept of reailty. Color is fundamental part of humans interaction with the reality of universe dude.

All colours are an illusion. The sky is also bright green, we just don't see in the wavelength felid that associates green with the wavelength of light absorbed. If you had a human who did see like that, then you could stand them beside another and get them to stare at the same sky, one would see blue, the other would see green, and his dog would see grey, and all are wrong, because there is no colour, only wavelengths.

The sky IS NOT Blue. It is Black. We only see it as blue because it reflects the oceans, and the atmosphere between HERE....and all the way UP THERE above the atmosphere.

Technically. The Sky Is Not Blue.

The colour of the sky (or rather, the wavelength we see) is nothing to do with the oceans, the sky would be of the same wavelength if there was not a drop of water on the earths surface, erm, look it up?

Correct, in fact he had it completely backwards. The ocean is in fact blue because of reflection from the sky. Otherwise it's water and would be as clear as a glass of water.

I agree about the wavelength. But as you must be able to tell by now. Not everyone is as knowledgeable, or wise enough to understand the technical aspects of our atmosphere.

Therefore, whatever color they see the sky is the true one, by majority vote.

They probably don't bother to look at it, though, being heavily into chemical communication.

Also wrong, and ocean of water held in a vacuum (or on a planet with no atmosphere (while not synomous with 'sky' it presents the idea you where trying to convoy) it would still seem a blue (as we see it) hue, a glass of water is only 'clear' because it is in such a small quantity, if your glass was big enough so as able to hold and ocean of water it too would appear blue.

yes, because then it would be big enough to gather enough reflection to be blue.

yes, because then it would be big enough to gather enough reflection to be blue.

But thats nothing to do with the sky as previously stated, and it also totally subjective, as in, if you have two humans and one has eye cones that are much more receptive than the other then they will see the water turn 'blue' before the other, in the same way that someone with no cones will never see the water turn blue.

I'm wondering if something happened behind the scenes that they won't tell us. Just for the ticket sales alone you would think they would have chosen him. I've only been to Wales a few times, mostly to follow my local ice hockey team when they take on the Cardiff Devils (I can't say the city, nor the people have left good impressions on me each time lol) and a few times when i had a gf who lived bang in the middle of it near Llanidloes.

As per Norn Iron its probably around a 50/50 split, maybe an edge towards Unionism if any, i for one don't care, do whats economically best, because that is what will factor into real peoples day to day lives.

What was your problem with the city / its people ? It's a pretty ordinary city, I'd have thought (maybe a bit of a rural feel to it, for a capital city .. significantly more so than London). Likewise the people .. ordinary, fairly unremarkable ..

Well, the only economically best system would be a Conservative one .. of course. We've seen in the UK how reckless Labour were with the economy .. a fool's paradise, spending out large sums of borrowed money they had little capacity to pay back (.. and with the result that we have to suffer an austerity regime for several more years to come).

Naw they play out of the 'big blue tent' which is down in the bag area beside the waterpark place, thought that's only a temporary rink as they are building a new permanent ice arena (and indoor ski slope) in the bay area over the next few years.

What was your problem with the city / its people ? It's a pretty ordinary city, I'd have thought (maybe a bit of a rural feel to it, for a capital city .. significantly more so than London). Likewise the people .. ordinary, fairly unremarkable ..

Idk, like, I like to travel a lot and you can feel how different cities are different and Cardiff just felt (as you say) unremarkable. And it started so promising when I saw the train station building and open plaza outside it lol,

I meant in regards to the Unionist/Nationalist debate. Anyone who is a unionist/national for no other reason that they want an all Ireland/ British Union is an idiot. ATM it's much more economically sensible to remain in the UK, so we should.
