View Full Version : Is the uncertainty gone now?

An acquaintance asked me this morning, "Is the uncertainty businesses have been complaining about, gone now that Obamacare has been declared constitutional?"

My reply: "You're joking, right?

"Or did you simply not read the law you're asking about?"

Obamacare is full of phrases like "The details will be specified by a board of the Dept of HHS..." etc. It really says very little, aside from setting up boards of regulation, the death panels, requirements that everyone participate or be punished, etc.

Now that it has been upheld, the uncertainty is greater than ever. And will remain so, since what today's board can "settle", tomorrow's board can change.

The "rule of law" is desirable because laws can be written down and then not easily changed. A person or business who wants to know how he will be affected next year, an look it up and trust it, more or less.

Obamacare is the opposite: You can't look up much. What will the regulations be? We don't know, because the various regulatory boards haven't written most of them yet. What will the costs be? Same answer. What will the penalties for not signing up be? Same answer. The only thing you can be sure of, is that when the govt finds its predictions falling short and starts running out of money (as every such socialized medicine plan has done in the past), these things will be changed by those same boards... and not for the better.

"Less uncertainty"???

What do you think Nancy Pelosi was referring to when she said, "We'll have to pass the bill to find out what's in it"?

The only people supporting Obamacare are the ignorant among us, who don't know what's in it... and what isn't in it, YET... but will be.

They say ignorance is bliss.

Enjoy your bliss while it lasts.

You goddamn right the uncertainty is gone! SCOTUS just gave the federal government unlimited power over us! If ever we have a Revolution here I know exactly who should be lined up against a wall first! Black robes and all!! -Tyr

We may very well be seeing HISTORY in the making. This looks a great deal like a turning point in America (not that we haven't already seen a turning point long, long ago with the introduction of unreasonable taxes, regulations on 2nd Amendment rights and the Socialistic plan or welfare, food stamps etc, etc. Still, we are seeing some very radical and damaging rulings within the last month. B.O. just said that illegals are now legal with a stroke of a pen, and now the Supreme Court has dealt another blow with both the AZ and HealthCare rulings. We could very well see martial law or a simple stroke of the executive privelege pen that allows B.O. to be our president for the next 40 years. It sounds radical for me to say but given recent events....it is not so difficult to see on the horizon now. Very distasteful times and it does indeed look very grim for November with extreme corruption being used to turn the vote B.O.'s way. Romney is not the man we need but he is a bit watered down when comparing the two candidates left leaning stances. It would be nice to see a strong, well known and well liked candidate (such as Allen West) to shock these two power grabbers and make an upset not seen in History. It isn't likely to happen so our making of History, for now, is an extremely dark one.

So, we now have the largest tax increase in history now that our not-so-superior judges deemed this unconstitutional law a TAX. That change is working out great isn't it.

At first, this morning. After hearing the SCOTUS decision translated in several different forums. I decided to play Devil's Advocate, feeling angry about Roberts being the deciding vote.

After much consideration as nothing more than a layman who prides myself on pragmatic thought. I think I have now seen the Ulterior motive of Roberts' actions in that He has forced Obama, and the Dems who created Obamacare to now DENY, DENY, DENY...that Obamacare is a TAX Program as they insisted IT WASN'T from the start.
Combine Obamacare Taxes (which will happen) with the Bush Tax cuts that will expire in January 2013 (Next year). And Obama now has to defend against those who were so easily convinced to vote for him by telling them THE TRUTH...for once.
A Truth that will, even in the simplest of minds...make Obama look like the Liar he is, and has been all along.
Eventually. I believe. After everyone has had a chance to examine, and determine what actually took place with SCOTUS. Justice Roberts will be THANKED for his actions.
Of course. I know many will tell me I am totally wrong about this.
But. Like everything else I offer as my Honest Opinion. I don't care.

Roberts may well have been putting it back on congress with his ruling. But for the whole thing to be repealed is going to take putting conservatives in congress in sufficient numbers to actually get it done. He's playing a dangerous game there. There's so much more to that whole law that isn't even talked about. Committees, regulations, control over our lives. The power grabs are getting more frequent and more blatant as Nov approaches. I have been saying for years he's going to go for the brass ring before the election arrives. Don't count on Nov.

The bill was voted into law as not a tax. Now judges rule it a tax but do not void it ! They nullified the legislative vote by ruling it a tax yet let in stand therby not giving the legislature the order to rectify the law by revoting the bill with knowledge that it is a tax! Roberts is a sold out chump... likely looking for this to be his legacy.
Our nation should do a Ballotbox Revolution voting the scum out November for in we do not and obama wins looks like possibly could be a reallife bloody Revolution in the future sometime. Court just gave away the store with this vote, Feds can now TAX ANY DAMN THING FOR ANY REASON AND FORCE US TO BUY IT TOO!
How about the federal govenment just pass a law that every family's second car must be a hybrid!
Or every homeowner must install all the new green technology appliances or face a penalty tax.
King George must be laughing his ass off down there, eh?
This is obama's America folks, how do you like it now? Hope you have that spare change stuck right up your collective asses! -Tyr

I have said it repeatedly. Look through my posts. Some national emergency will be contrived between now and Nov. Then martial law will be imposed and he'll take over. I tend to think it will be a war with iran. Hezbo has lots of people here already and can start an insurrection attacking within cities and infrastructure. He writes an executive order moving in the military and suspending the Constitution until order is restored. He's done the ground work. You don't actually think all those illegals he's protecting are just Mexicans?

I hope like hell I'm wrong and you get to to laugh at me come Nov.

Without a doubt a possibility. Look for it to actually happen if he sees that he will surely lose!
He and his crew have used nothing but fear, scams, and more fear to push their socialist agenda.

In order to do it there has to be a foreign directed force in this country. Well armed and waiting for the orders to strike. Iran has such a force in hezbo. They have thousands of agents throughout Europe and the US. If a war breaks out with iran then the agents will be activated to strike within the country. Probably in numbers that would make the police insufficient to handle the situation. The military would have to be brought in to secure infrastructure and other critical sites and maybe take on the hezbo insurgents right in the cities. Hezbo would be heavily armed. Think all those FF weapons ended up just in Mexico? It would take a presidential order to involve the military. If enough chaos is caused it would be easy to declare martial law until order is restored. And he has the media to play up the panic. Create enough fear and panic and people will go along with just about anything. Those that don't, get a free trip to a FEMA camp. He doesn't need to use the military to repress people, he just needs to be sure they are out of the way.
